Firstly, 'Gooks' = Vietnamese, and they don't hunt whales. This happened in Taiwan and they don't hunt whales either! The Japanese hunt whales, and in my opinion that's fine! 'wrecking marine life' as you put it is the only way the Japanese can actually live. Most of Japan is mountainous, and that land which isn't is all populated on. There is no room for cattle, and even fruit and veg, most farms are rice farms because a lot of it can be produced in a small space.

This whale was killed by being hit in the spine by a ship and beached itself (according to Predator CSI on Nat Geo Wild), and as they were towing away the carcass to a research facility the gases inside the whale caused it to explode.

Also, this was in Taiwan, not Japan.

Yeah this video needs some context. In a nutshell the whale beached itself and died on a beach in Taiwan. It was there long enough to start to decompose. Later it was loaded onto a truck for removal from the area. As they were transporting it through town the carcass blew up. Something to do with buildup of gases inside the carcass.
