  • I have REALLY short hair, and #4 seems to work the best. Hope the others will work out when it grows~!

  • thanks for this. It helps a lot! Lol you made me laugh though about being a walking hazard with a knitting needle then dropping it. I needed a smile putting on my face! :D

  • hahaha u keep talking and i dndt understand

  • Very cute hairstyles and a well made tutorial. Unfortunately for me and my mid length, thin hair I can only manage four. But still a very good tutorial. Thank you.

  • I loved your tutorial, but I only could do 4, my hair is not as long as yours.

  • Haha that helped so much. Cut bun styles, and you're pretty cute too haha.

  • LOL! I only know how to do 4

  • can I use a pencil?

  • Thank you, this really helps ^^

  • I broke my chopstick? o_O Great tutorial though! :)

  • ME GUSTA!!!!!

  • Thankyou so much! I can't believe my hair is done up with a pencil! narrow minded me. >.< lol

they all worked for me. good tutorial. needs volume though ;)

  • i need to grow my hair first... :P

  • When I was younger and got bored in class I would use the 4th method on a small section of my hair :p

  • Kawaii ^ ^ I tried to do them, but I snapped my chopstick in 3 pieces :(

  • i got it! thanks so much!! :D :D

  • Actually, crochet hooks ALSO work with these buns, and I find that if done right, meaning the hooked end visible, they also help stabilize the bun and keep it from moving too well. The hook is also good for the flyaways. =)

  • I'm the opposite, 1 and 2 worked really well, especially 2, but 3 and 4 didn't work!

  • ur sooo pretty!

  • yes! thank you! my hair is too thick for methods 1 & 2 to feel properly secured but the latter methods both worked amazingly!!!

  • Three is definitely my favorite, it feels so much more secure than other methods I've tried.

  • I love #4, but I wish there was some way to get the 'tail' in with the rest of my hair (it's an awkward length for this style of bun...) :(

  • i finally got it down!!! well only number 4 and sometimes number one but i did it!! Thank you! :)

  • awesome!!! very helpful :)

  • you're the only helpful tutorial on how to do these.. Thank you =)

  • this helped a lot! the 3 and 4 is so cute, i love them! :D

1 and 2 didn't work for me, i couldn't do it right.. LOL xD

  • gahhh i love the last one! i wish i could do it!

i don't know what is it about asian hair but it's so beautiful!

take care of it its a treasure ^_^ your so lucky

  • Thank you! This helps a lot!!! :D

  • Wow, thanks! I've always wanted to learn how to bun my hair :)

  • Wow. You are so beautiful! And you knit!! I think I'm in love...

  • I love this hairstyle~ thanks a lot! ^^

by the way you are really pretty :D

  • thank you so much! this tutorial is really clear and easy to follow, i was surprised how easy it was :) although i can't seem to do 2 and 4, cos they seem kinda unstable, but 1 and 3 are really useful. thanks :)

  • I love the third method, but I don't have the hair long enough to do that.... :(((

  • I'm a man though... but i admire girls with this hairstyle...

  • Love your ideas for the buns! I usually make a ponytail, braid it and then loop around and stick the sticks in to hold. Enjoy!!

  • nice thanks ! i got all of them to work except the 4th one :/

  • Oh wow! I've been looking at these videos TRYING to find someone who does their hair like me. I've used method #4 for yearsss and everyone here thinks I'm crazy when I show them how I do it. My tip for #4 is (for right-handed people) is to start holding your hair in a ponytail a bit to the left, because when you finish up the bun it twists a bit to the right and if you start out centered, you end off-center.

  • I've only had long hair for about two years now, and have always loved to see hair put up this way. Now your fabulous tutorials have made what looked complicated into something I can do in a few seconds - thank you so much for these straightforward and inspiring videos! :-D

  • i love it! very elegant, it suits my hair :))

  • mine never stays. it always comes lose. D:

  • so good! thank you so much...will be using this :D

  • wow!!! u make it look so easy. You have lovely hairs :)

  • oh and i love how you've demonstrated the method slowly with vocal instructions and then quickly without that, this method is really helpful spcially in #3 how to turn your hand n how to twist and all... thanks!

  • 1) ur so adorable!

    2) thanks this is the best tutorial on this topic cuz yu've demonstrated every technique especially #3 and #4 (just super, #4 is my fav)

    3) where are you from? idk just inquisitive lol

    4) Thanks so much for this tutorial.. super like!!

I am gonna make a lot of hair buns with chopsticks now..!!

    Ty again!

  • cant hear u...can u pls do it with volumes high.....frd

  • Thank you sooo much for posting this! I could never figure out how to use hairsticks before and now I just can't stop using them!! THank you again!

  • Method #4 works great with a lillipop stick! A longer one of course, that you get from big lillipops :)

  • Big help!!!! :D Method 1 and 4 work nicely for my hair~! You were correct about the 2nd method. It's not very secure at all, especially for those with longer hair. ^ ^ Going to try out Method 3 tomorrow!

  • Thankyou so much for this vid, paticularly method 3! As I have 2ft 9in (83 cm) long hair, its quite difficult to put it up neatly.....

  • Thank you so much for this vid. This is the best of all the vid I've watched!

  • OMG! You are too freaking adorable!!!!! This was very helpful :)

  • Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for and more. Thank you so much :D

  • LOVE THE THIRD METHOD! <3

    You're awesome girl!~

  • thanks so much, i was watching another video on how to do this and was getting really annoyed because it wouldn't work but the last method of your tutorial works great and feels like it will hold in place no matter what so THANKS!! =(^w^)=

  • Love the third method, my hair is up to my hip and it worked, and also it's easy, thank you!

  • I always use the third. :)

  • I got number 1, 3, and 4 right.... But, number 2 is tricky for me.

  • this really really helped! thanks so much :D

  • Youre really pretty btw (:

  • That really helped Sweetie!! Thanks!! Exept I have hair down to my knees! And Ill try it next time for sure!

  • aw we have the same straight hair. but can't just do it right...might need some practice. oh but it actually helped. thank you :D TC

  • aw we have the same straight hair. but can't just do it right...might need some practice. oh thank you btw! :D TC

  • your video is so helpful!!! thanks so much~

  • this is seriously the best video i've seen for ung with chopsticks! thank you so much and p.s you are so pretty!

  • I don't get method #1. How are you twisting it. I watched like 20 times and I can't do it. And I did method #3, but my hair is always loose. And I keep getting bumps, huge ones, whenever I try to pull back my hair and bring it up. My hair is as long as yours is. I still fail... -_-

  • to me, all these methods i used to my hair are quite loose :o how?

  • LOVED method 3! It actually kept my hair up and secure while i walked to work! I added a second chopstick for visual effect lol. Thank you!

  • Wow, thanks! I was so lost with my chopsticks, (really I just stared blankly at them) but now I know how to put them in my hair! Thanks you so much!

  • Methods 3 & 4 helped me so much! Thank you a lot!~~

  • what about a long kind of hair clip? It's long like a pencil and thin like one too, but it has a bit of a curve...... can someone use that too?.....

  • Ahhh! Your video helped so much!! There were other videos with only one way to do it, but with yours I found a way I can do! Thanks so much! :D

  • ARGH! Mine always fall! ):

  • lmao.. i used a pen and i think i might have drawn something on my head..:/ :) lool

  • thanks

  • these are really great, but my hair is pretty short, it's only an inch or two past my shoulders, so does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how icould get my hair to stay up, because it always seems like chunks of my hair fall out of the bun :(

  • finally i got to know how to do a bun using chopstick! thanks for de video! =DDD

  • Thank God! Someone who can properly explain the solution to my friends stealing my hairbands!

  • -Waow(: This Helped a lot!! Btw.. <3 ure hair! u gota give ure secret;) l0l

  • Hey I loved your video!Umm I was just wondering, how you do your name at the top left hand corner where it says tackyhearts rigt undxer the 4 ways to do a chopstick Bun?Thanks!!:):):)

  • worked great :)

  • you are awesome :)

  • i wanted to know how to do it with 2 chopsticks!!:(

  • Any tips for people with thick hair?

My sister, who has much thinner hair, can do the chopstick bun really easily. Howeve, whenever I try it on my thick head of hair, its either so painful and tight I have to pull it out, or it falls apart.

  • You're really beautiful!

  • Thank you! Great, clear explanation!

It's ridiculous, I've bought so many little products for holding up hair, but this paintbrush works better than any of them, and without the pain.

  • gurl that is so smart that last method that u did , i did that one and it looked so cute thx for makin the video !!!!! :]

  • OOoh girl I love the last 2 specially the third one \:D/ that's my fav...tfs xoxo

  • thanks so much for the vid! are there any ways to put it in a bun with short/med hair? I want my hair to grow fast so I can do these! :P

  • I always used to do number 4, thinking that's actually the only way to do it. Thank you for the other tips!!! I like 3 as well, and it gives it a different look. Perfect explanation, too. Thanks so much.

  • ohh I used to listen to this song all the time when I was little! ^^ you have so beatiful hair! how do u get it so silky n soft?

  • @dumbasschild Thanks! I don't do much, it's always been naturally straight and easy to manage. I alternate between my shampoos and conditioners every few days (to prevent my hair becoming "immune" to their effects), and I use a clarifying shampoo once a week to get rid of build-up. Sometimes I use a deep conditioner. I airdry my hair and I minimize heat damage by curling only for special events :)

  • ohh I used to listen to this song all the time when I was little! ^^

  • how long does your hair have to be?
