  • thanx for this :)

  • I know the director and the church. This is definitely Byzantine style, sung by an Antiochian Orthodox choir in Australia. Beautiful! Fr. John, Antiochian Orthodox priest.

  • أنا أحب هذه الأغنية

  • Lebanese can be Maronite or Melkite. There are also a small number of Orthodox. Peace

  • @mghassan1 Unless you're talking as in Mount Lebanon and even so, Orthodox in Lebanon count as many as the maronite (definitely not a small number)

  • If this is from Lebanon, are you sure it is Byzantine? The Lebanese Christians are Maronite.

  • they are actually melkite, very similar to Orthodox but there is also the Patriarch of Alexandria

  • no frie. there are also a lot of lebanese orthodox people

  • @mindspring57

yeah, this is byzantine style, the romanian and greek orthodox chants are exactly the same as this one, the only difference on this video to me is the language

  • @mindspring57 Hello, Lebanese are Orthodox and everything else

  • @mindspring57 Not all Lebanese Christians are Maronite. Look into the Antiochian Orthodox Church.

  • @mindspring57

This is byzantine my friend...Mount Lebanon Choir chants everything in pure Byzantine, it doesn't matter that the Christians are maronite, it has nothing to do how something is chanted. The Greeks chant this chant in the exact same way and we greeks chant everything to Byzantine notation and style. God Bless!
