horrendiously late, but here's my two cents on your(likely now resolved) console issue: With the 360, you get a better game library, the Banjo Kazooie games, a good variety of FPS games, and such. It's also somewhat cheaper. However, you have to deal with the instability of the console. The PS3, meanwhile, gives you a graphical superiority(supposedly) as well as a Blu-Ray player and a more stable console. You also get access to PS1 classics via the online store. It's more expensive though.

PS3 generally has SLIGHTLY better graphics, but they really don't make themselves known unless you do a side to side comparison. PS3 has Blueray and Free Internet built in (I think). However I think the xbox is cheaper, has better exculsive games, puls its generally a better service than sony in my experience. The broken system issue with xbox has all be more or less cleared up now. If your system is broken just send it to sony and they'll replace it and give you gifts with the replacement.

PS3 has Uncharted 1, 2, and 3, The God of War and Metal Gear Solid series, Heavy Rain, Ratchet and Clank and Metal Gear Solid series, Infamous 1 and 2, etc. In terms of exclusives the XBOX 360 doesn't even come close.

I think the Xbox 360 is better. The PS3 controller is bad. Xbox LIVE is better than PSN (you only have to pay for online multiplayer (Xbox LIVE Gold), nothing else). First Person Shooters and racing games are better on the Xbox 360 (because of the controller).

Graphically, xbox has better anti-aliasing meaning deeper and faster shading but graphics themselves are basically the same. And now that the Ps3 has taken off, there will be less bad ports and more double-console titles like the ever-so-anticipated Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Oh yeah and God of War 3 is still the best exclusive. Although I have not played the Gears of War games.. which admittedly do look awesome.

Ps3 has become the better console. Better hardware, first off. Secondly, there are just as much games. You only miss out on Halo (and the series is over anyway) and GearsOW and Fable... whatever... I would say a PS3 because you can play PS1 games until better games come out. I bought a xbox360 a year ago brand new and it never messed up so I think the quality is getting better with that system, but both system has the same pouplar games like for example "fallout, call of duty, unreal tournament, final fantasy whatever, red dead redemption, and so forth." So if you play these games you might as well play on the ps3 due to better graphics and quality of system. I hope that helped. great vid

I chose the 360, for the price and game selection. with gta 4 I know it runs smoother on ps3 but online on ps3 is dreadful. Xbox live servers.. u get what you pay for is all i can say, and ps3 online costs nothing... nuff said. Don't get me wrong I do NOT dislike ps3, i used to be all about sony with the ps1 and 2, but the ps3 was too expensive for me in the beginning, and not being able to play my other playstation games on it kept me away. but it really depends what you want out of it.

I like the 360 better only because i'm a person who is into the kind of online experience as at least 90% of people with ps3 are not. The Xbox Live interface is alot more social-friendly, as opposed to Ps3 online which kind of restricts you of the things that Live has to offer. For instance, if you are GoW, and your friend is playing CoD or something, and you need some advice on the story of god of war. You are incapable of asking your friend for advice for ps3 only lets chat within same game.

Plus the 360 isn't "user-friendly". This is a quantifiable and verifiable fact. Ask any computer science student or professional who's seriously studied GUI design.

For example, multiple methods of accomplishing the same goal waste screen space and confuse the user. The Xbox360 is FULL of shit like this, much like Windows 7/Vista and MS Office are.

The Wii and PS3, On the other hand, have well-designed, well-organized GUI's that look better and don't confuse the user.
