I finished this game when I was 9. Which would be very impressive if I hand´t started it when I was 5 years old. On a side note, this game, Yoshi´s Island 2, Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Kart on SNES are the games that defined my childhood.

it was definitely the hardest game of the series, but at the same time it was most fun and whenever I play my old SNES games again, I enjoy playing the lost world levels for they are the most challenging and most fun.

I remember that after a few minutes of K. Rool leaving the background, there would come some earthquake of sorts and we'd hear K. Rool laughing like he did earlier.

I dare say that for something like the DKC series, this entry felt a bit darker and had a more serious tone. Was that intentional or something?  I'm not complaining; I'm just curious.

I Love this ending more than the GBA version. The earthquake that destroyed the island never occured in the GBA one so I don't know how'd the island sank in that one and the sunset colours were distorted. However, if there is one thing that I do wish to see in this version is that hilarious scene where Funky bombed K. Rool as he tried to set sail.

Still the best DKC game. The only platformer since Mario 3 to really challenge me. I used to fall asleep in front of my snes, wake up and keep playing. I think I lost 20 lbs the week after christmas in 95 dominating this game and finally beating K-rool in one of the best showdowns of all time. Only to find out I still had 4 more hidden levels to conquer and lots of secrets yet to find.

I remember when I played this game with my brothers we couldnt figure out where the bonuses were in the web woods level. We searched and searched, until I said that the cannonballs had to open holes. My brothers said that couldnt be possible, but it turned out that it was. The game was pretty hard but exciting, with a wonderful sountrack. You just dont see games like that anymore. A masterpiece.

This game is a true 16 Bit piece of art, better than DKC and DKC3 in my opinion. DKC2 has a normal difficult if you want to see the normal ending, but it becomes considerable hard if you want to finished it at 102%.
