Roy Khan's voice, at least to me, suits the dark themes of a lot of Kamelot's songs. But Fabio isn't bad, not by any means. Unless they managed to get, say, Matthias Blad, I don't see how it could've been any better.

I can hear the similarity in Fabio and Khan's voice, but as stated in another comment, Fabio's voice gets much higher and it's no longer a contrast to Simone's voice and it more blends, and makes this song sound messy in my opinion. I just want my Khan back, is that too much to ask? Khan, please see these messages and hurry and get over whatever was wrong with you and come back to Kamelot!!

Yeah I'm sorry but no one matches up to Roy :'( Don't get me wrong Fabio is great and the band is fucking amazing. But the only reason i got into and loved this band is because of Roy's voice in March of Mephisto. Roy's tone is just fucking epic and has so many layers of quality it's just on a whole other level. Sorry Fabio i just can't continue to follow this band anymore :( best of luck Kamelot <3

I just saw Kamelot last night. I never saw Roy perform but Fabio is one hell of a performer and singer. Nobody can deny that. So I'm sorry Roy has left, but future performances will not be a let down, I can promise you that.

Haters gonna hate the band without Roy. But Fabio has the power, he has the strength - and that's why the band asked and chose Fabio to be in place of (not replace) Roy on tour. It's something that had to be done, and I think he does very well to fill in.

Personally, I can't wait to meet Kamelot just to meet Fabio with VIP tickets. I'ma very huge Rhapsody fan, and this is a great opportunity to meet at least one member.

This song no longer works... Fabio's natural point is much higher than roy's was. and with that said, the high contrast of simmone to roy's low pitch was what made it. right now, we have 2 conflicting high pitches... the song now just sounds.... off. I hope they realize this and fix the contrast accordingly or else kamelot will loose its feeling.

As far as i know he just left because of his burnouts, I think some people think its because he "found god" or some religious garble like that. I'm not too sure, either way, he is no longer in kamelot and that's all that I'm concerned about.

Fabio's voice is amazing. He seems to be having a great time and something tells me he's a great person too. :-) He's a more typical power metal singer, Roy is something pretty different, what I call "violin voice", no need to compare two great voices. I just love it when a band assume a different character when changing a member, I have no clue if this is permanent though as I am not a hardcore fan. :-)

He's a good singer, but it's not the right type of vocals for Kamelot. Khan had a much deeper, soulful voice. Fabio sings well, it's just too generic power/prog metal sounding. They should look for someone with a deeper, unique voice to replace Khan when it comes to the next studio album.

I am getting SOO tired of the downtuning... the music sounds lethargic and lacking in passion. In addition, I don't think Fabio is a good fit for the band. He is quite talented, but his style is VERY powermetal- almost a caricature. Khan's unique, deeply emotive style can never be truly replicated, and it is what 'made' the band, IMO. I am not at all saying that Kamelot can never be a good band without him- they simply need to find the right person to replace Roy.

Fabio is certainly a world-class vocalist and a worthy successor to Roy. Had I been able to throw a name into the box I would have suggested Roberto Tiranti who sings for Labyrinth. Ironically, Fabio was Labyrinth's singer until Roberto replaced him. Roberto has a more "classical" tone with more range and sings with strong emotion. I wish all the best to Fabio and Kamelot as they move on together, and I hope Roy can move forward and be happy as well.

I loved Khan...I never got to see him...I had tickets, but my show was the show he fell ill and left...Fabio is a worthy replacement...but it still hurts. Fabio absolutely nailed it and definitely did the songs justice when I saw them last week. I did notice the 2 times I did see Khan sing this song, particularly in 2010. that it was easily the worst song of the night - simply because the chorus seemed extremely laboured and it appeared very difficult for Roy to hit the notes in comparison to the OCWN Version. Not dissing him or anything as I'm a super-massive Khan fangirl. But with or without him, they're still awesome live!

I'm sorry, but this is simply mediocre in comparison with Khan. I understand that they are entirely different singers with entirely different voices and musical ideas, but there is a certain quality and presence to Roy Khan that can never be replaced. He was simply the best metal vocalist that ever existed, and he will go down as such. Not simply for his range, but for the quality, beauty and symbolism his voice conveyed. It feels as though Kamelot has become a typical power metal band now.
