Me alegro de ver que en Chile hay kempoistas, yo lo practique durante algunos años. Pero el kata de este video carece de caracter, no tiene el ritmo y la fuerza, la explosividad tipica del kempo. Mas bien parece una coreografia......los katas son representaciones de combate, hay que anticiparse, mirar antes de moverse, ser explosivos.......

I have an issue with this kind of Kenpo. The timing of Parker Kenpo is a great addition to the style but there are times when it is taken to extremes. If an attacker grabs you, you MUST react at that moment, regardless of how the flow is. Adjust to the moment of attack or your dead. I love this art but we must critique to allow it to grow

Awesome test to all of you guys. I was very impressed. I had the pleasure of meeting and training with Mr. Tatum a couple of years ago. That man moves like WOW!! I made the mistake of being the "hands on guy". Ouch!  Congratulations to you all.

did you get to spar with him too. probably not cuz i heard he never does. funny though. chuck norris is 69 and he still spars with his students. says much about tatum in my opinion. probably much about kenpo seniors in general as well.

The girl moves really smooth. She's being tested for material knowledge; not if she can put the power down for hours straight. In reality, the test is a formality - they drilled her hard for the months leading up to the test. If you think it was garbage, post your test...(crickets)
