  • I really like your version of Red House, these Republic guitars sound awesome!

  • @srv62strat Thank you for your comment. Bill and I enjoy arranging duets. We try to figure out how not to step on each other's lines. Our general rule is, if he plays low, I play high and vise versa. LOL Miles Davis's advice was if they play slow, you play fast and vise versa. LOL I've always been a big fan of music like Jimi and Zep, but I had to bring it back to the country. • Fabulous !! Authentic, Blues as it should be. Great vocal and guitar work from KeniLee and Bill. I listen to this LOUD ! I am saddened to hear Jaqui is ill, let us all hope ,( all your fans), she has a speedy and uneventful recovery very soon.

  • Thank you for your positive comments and warm get well wishes. Yes, let us all send out healing vibes to Jackie and look forward to her return. Enjoy.

  • Excellente work!!!

  • very fun

  • Thank you. Enjoy.

  • Very nicely done Keni! I have to agree with Phr33k69 I would like to hear it with Jackie but you did such amazing vocals on this one! :) 5 *****

  • Thank you very much. I agree. Actually we planned to do this song as a backup for Jackie to explore a typical blues ballad ala Bessie Smith. So, when Jackie returns, look for this song morphed into a Jackie creation. Enjoy.

  • I'm looking forward to it :) Peace

  • Fantastic! Another great tune. I too hope that Jackie feels better soon. I think Jackie does have great voice, but I've gotta say that I really like your voice too, I think it fit very well with this tune. As always, you're an inspiration Keni :o)

  • Thank you for your Get Well Wishes and kind comments. I love these Friday nights when my friends Jackie and Bill come over to play. I spent a lot of time practicing solo, but working with others is essential to improving on timing, phrasing, arranging music around vocals, etc. Not to mention all the fun and companionship. Enjoy.

  • this is really good man!!

  • Thank you for the positive encouragement. Enjoy.

  • Please get well soon, Jackie...I agree, the soulful sparkle of her voice would do wonders here, very nice performance, nonetheless. Loved the slide solo after the first verse.

  • Thank you for your comment. Well it is settled. When Jackie is well, we all will look forward to hearing her return to the Old Blues Trio and singing this song. Enjoy.

  • sorry to hear jackie is poorly, hope she has a speedy recovery, don't mean to put you down keni, but she sings better and adds a sparkle, i will look forward to this song with jackie doin the singin :-)

  • Thank you for your "Get Well" wishes. I agree. I hope Jackie recovers soon too, so she can join us and sing. She is a real singer and adds so much more than I could in any performance. Enjoy.

  • Great stuff, I play to it over and over again on a G harp. Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you. Ya, some harp would be a great addition. Enjoy.

  • really a G harp , not an A?

forgive me for my lack of knowledge, but is that a common approach with blues? I'm starting on harp myself

  • @xijack

Yes, they play it in D, so you play it in the 2nd position, On the G harp Its the key of D. Follow the scale (2)(3')4(4')(4)(5)6

    ( ) means inhale.

  • sweet that's answered alot

    no wonder i sounded crap

the old guys are rocking-out on this video too

highway 61 is my next guitar

  • Thank you. I am not sure about the "old guys" comment though. LOL I guess the truth does hurt sometimes. LOL The Highway 61 is a great little guitar. Enjoy

  • I'm a bit of an old guy myself, yet thats what my kids call me anyway, thanks for your message, i've already got a copy of cd 1&2, they are some of the best lessons i've ever had, I'm feeling myself move away from the electric thing a bit more to what you guys are into. cheers

  • Thank you for your support thru your purchases and the positive feedback. I do not care too much for playing electric. It is so simple to just pick up an acoustic and play. Maybe going back to a simplier time is what I really want. LOL. Enjoy.

  • Thank you for sharing this information. I attached a video response to this video. Kind Hearted Papa. If you go to that video, you will see a video response by my friend kokoro86. He did a video playing harp against our video. Maybe you can do the same with this video. That would be fantastic. Enjoy.

  • This is called cross harp. Basically you are using a harp in the key of the 4 chord from the D major scale. In the key of D the three basic blues chords are D (the one or tonic), G (the 4 chord or subdominant) and A (the 5 chord or dominant) Thank you for sharing your interest. Enjoy.
