buy a new piston and sleeve is really the only way. how low? if its not too low then you can get loads of runtime out of it regardless of the compression. my dads buddy had one going for like 8 years on low compression. before it just died completely. lol
@namspu1 Well no, I don't like losing screws but I do like to loosen them when I intend to. Why do NASCAR pit crews use pneumatic drills to remove wheel lugs when changing tires instead of a standard lug wrench? Exactly...
Yeah, its all back together again now. Needed new gaskets, so I used gasket putty instead of buying new ones. The metho really did a great job cleaning everything out...

Yes, 4 of them were removed to allow the starter case to come off.

It's a Tamiya 1/10 scale (about 8-10 yrs old now).

Naturepheonix 2 years ago
The contrast is really terrible... I'm trying to get it viewable at the moment. Might just be easier to pull it apart and re-record the assembly!

is there something else i can use besides methylated spirits
mexme1 2 years ago
I'm sure most de-greasing agents will work equally well. I had Metho on hand, so it was easiest for me to use that!
