  • @disgustika ...black guys suck

  • @Lifter85

    um... Anderson Silva?

  • For how long does he stay in the bath?

  • @sunnin0204 they tell him to stay around 10 min.

  • Man , i really dont like this Nogueira , he isnt an exciting fighter , and well , i just dont like him , and i never did.

  • @TheBruceeta yeah but believe it or not some fighters dont give a shit about entertaining fans, aka getting their brains scrambled on a nightly basis

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBruceeta go fuck your self then minotauro is a legend and will always be!

  • @mourad985 I dont give a shit , i neve said he wasnt , he is just very annoying , and not exciting at all i never liked him.

  • For what this's work for?

  • @kannnonpr it works on endurance and stuff like that.

  • @clarkie804 no it doesnt retard it helps your muscles recover

  • @clarkie804

How the fuck any kind of bath makes your endurance better??

  • i think thats too much ice lol, its okay since he likes it though

  • @Manveet I weigh very little and have almost no body fat so would an ice bath be good for me? I train hard and I would love to speed up my recovery time but I don't want to jump in there if it's going to cause me more harm then good.

  • These things are terrible I did it once when my trainer made me just for my shins and it sucks.

  • @MrIllcat im imagining that ur talking about shin splints and you shouldnt be taking ice baths for that just take an one ice cube and rub it around the area that hurts until the ice melts

  • @iceman2721 Nah it was from trying to do too much shin conditioning too fast and I had cracked open the skin on my shins and it had begun to bleed and swell up because I thought I was the toughest guy in the world and so I had to submerge my legs in ice periodically to try and heal them up and reduce the swelling.

  • @MrIllcat if you do the ice bath right, they can eliminate the need for days of rest in between workout days.

  • @mitchnesbitt Any tips on how to build up to it? I find it very uncomfortable and can't manage more then a minute or two without having breathing difficulty.

  • @MrIllcat it's not gonna hurt you...you have to just understand that...and get your ass in there. what's 'working up to it?' putting some ice cubes on your meat?

there's no way man...just do it and try to calm the fuck down.

  • I couldnt even dip my toe in that fucking thing

  • I think he does feel pain, they all do, but it's about handling the pain, getting used to it. It not only takes a strong body, but also incredible psyche. Character is everything. I believe that it is the brains that makes a champion, not the muscles.

  • this guy is a beast, does he ever feel pain ?

  • as we say in the uk...LAD!

  • much respect. i wouldnt last a minute in there

  • Man this man is tough as f%$k.... good guy to look at for toughness.

  • what are ice baths for anyways?

  • @lildertygangsta they help your muscles recover so you aren't as sore and stiff after a tough workout.

  • hes just like ... put the ice in already

  • My understanding its that it does 3 things, drastically reduces the swelling of muscles and joints after a hard training session, thus reducing recovery, Allows oxygen exchange to happen more quickly as the body pumps blood around in an effort to warm the body, and it strengthens the heart, hence why the polar bear club exists. I use it after my training and after just 10 mins my legs and arms feel like new.

  • which of the nogueira brothers is it?!

  • @p1n0y4life1 Little.

  • @p1n0y4life1 Rodrigo. I train at their gym in Rio De Janeiro, you can tell by the ears :-)

  • why did they make him put his hands out of the water

  • @marv2564 for undercooling so part of your body is still out of the ice water, plus if he loss senses they can pull him out of the water more easy

  • okay ive seen into the future nd a revolution occurs nd wat happens is ppl nuke the world nd roaches r the only thing alive but die anyway cuz big nog kills them seriously this doesnt know how to feel pain or die

  • I never understood why MMA fighters take ice baths. Why?

  • @TheDrAdrian ice baths are mostly for quicker regeneration but also does good job on feeling no pain kinda like yoga..

  • @TheDrAdrian it helps reduce swelling of muscles and tendons. It also supposedly starts to shunt blood off to your body and brings it to your core while you are in the bath. When you get out and warm up naturally your body will push the blood back, and tends to push more blood than needed which helps push out bad things such as hydrogen ions which cause pain and also brings more nutrients to your muscles for repair. So the next day you should feel no DOMS and minimal pain. Or so the theory goes.

  • @aadriech

Plus every athlete use this.. Cause after a hard work of training, they dip in there.

  • @kyvang31 Yeah, I usually take one after long runs and bike rides. I feel absolutely great the rest of the day. And the following days feel little to know soreness.

  • @TheDrAdrian it makes the blood go to the core and the energy and the heat in concentrated in the core of the body in the vital organs causing all the toxins to exit the joints and muscles, plus its an experience that helps strengthen the soul.

  • @TheDrAdrian I think its a mental issue. Just like when some MMA fighters run in sheer cold in the morning or when its snowing. It all has do with mental strength and or having a sense of almost having uncontrollable feelings. If you can remain calm when its cold you're are under control. Try focusing when its cold, these guys want the feeling of being overwhelmed but want to remain calm.

  • @ramir233

in tuf they used this method right after training or something, it made all the blood in the body go to the vital organs or something (can't quite remember) but it made the recovery after hard training shorter i think it was. but as i said, i'm not quite sure

  • He takes it like a man lol

Unlike Tito Ortiz who was about to pass out haha

  • his reactions makes ppl to think if those are pieces of glasses instead of ice

  • @nocellings haha ill put money on that too

  • damn hes got balls of steel, doesnt even flinch..... tito screamed on camera when he took an ice bath like that

  • Lesnar takes ice baths as well except he dosent have that expression on his face he takes it like a man

  • fdammnn WTF, i cant even stand letting my balls into a cold pool, How is this possible?????

  • @nocellings no man, he is impotent, has no sexual activity since a few years, after the Fedor fights and all the beating with crocop and bob sapp he lost his sexual life. he is dead walking man. and extremely retarded

  • this guy's fucking ugly

  • @zackhanscom because he went through a tragic accident when he was still a kid, they had to do surgery on his face and all over his body...feel good about what you just posted?

  • @KoreAHNO fuckin idiot. is not because of the accident. the real accident he had was when he faced FEDOR THE RUSSIAN COLD BLOODED KILLER twice!! Fedor smashed his face, after the fights against Fedor , Noguiera already retarded face got busted up way worse, Fedor's punches besides brain damaging for good for his life, changed his faced, lacerated his facial bones and nerves, and slightly closed one of his eyes. Fedor's punches are worst than any accident, u fool.

  • @stfwtfjo you know...it's not necessary to write "fuckin idiot". it shows the maturity level you lack. next time...simply EDUCATE someone on the subject matter. peace.

  • @KoreAHNO u deleted ur previous comment i see....u r not even sure about what to write and what to not write...lol

  • @zackhanscom

    Faggot

  • Legend

  • LMAO! LOOK AT HIS FACE! he looks like a sad and confused baby.

  • i love the look on his face once his lays down in the bath : )

  • does anyone know why they have him take his arms out? i though that would be good to have your arms in if you got done working your arms out?

  • @kappkids

the guy suggested to get his arm off the bath so that he could stand 10 minutes inside it.

  • @dpioli o haha, i want to put my whole body in but was not sure if that is bad. because i want to work out my arms and all sooner than if i didn't do the ice bath.

  • Now that a ice bath not the one bisping has

  • @sandiegocalifas619 u can ask Nog's wife

  • stupid Nogueira, that's where his getting his sthaps infection from, stop doing that man

  • He's been taking those baths for like years so no wonder he doesnt even flinch.

  • ice baths give you stamina as well as also work involuntay muscles which help the voluntary ones work better

  • what does this do can someone msg me back plz

  • Why is his ear so fucked up ?

  • @xfrenno2 had u heard about bjj?

  • @egrojodnamra No, let me know.

  • @xfrenno2 when u do combat sports like judo, jujitsu, wrestling, and others thta involved physical contac that can generate friction on the practiotioners head, mainly on ears, they developed the so called "cauliflower ears", wich is almost impossible to correct not even if the practitioner keeps on figthing. That's because the ear's skin is so soft and delicate. It's an awful and paiful thing

  • @egrojodnamra is that good what he is doing in this video??...

  • @Zyyler55 u mean for the ears?

  • @egrojodnamra no.. the ice bath that he is taking :-)

  • @Zyyler55 yes, it's good to relax the muscles, they can't take pain killers and after all that training is a good therapy

  • @egrojodnamra good do know, cause i see people doing this at the Gym but allways asked me why they do that or what its good for, i wanted to ask them but dint want to after all cause they looked pissed while they are taking that ice bath ( it hurts i know )... but now that i know it im going to try my self, cause i allways take pain killers when ever i have big pain after training ( what i dont like to take at all )... but thanks man for the info *cheers*

  • @Zyyler55 I used to put my feet, hands and knees on ice when after pratice, cuz I don't have a tub, but it was the gratest therapy, ice and hot water after, along with diclofenac once in a while, jeje

  • y'know, I should take on of those. Because I'm really overheating.

  • watch the brock vid, he basically jumps in

  • wow. much respect.

  • nice ears

  • nog is tough as nails he barely moved his eyebrow :)

  • lol nog your crazy

  • when exposed to a huge temperature drop, the body will also begin to pump a lot more blood-- this delivers more oxygen to the muscles and helps to remove the "bad blood" as abra mentioned-- toxins, and lactic acid. in all honesty, and within my own experiences with it, the first 5 min are hell (ha) but afterward, once your body begins to pump that blood faster, you begin to warm up a bit and adjust.

  • @RiotSauce

i find the first 2 min to be HELL, but then once you've gone numb, it isnt so bad, but you can get light headed ive found

  • @ronhudsonjr

Agreed, there is a mental aspect to doing this as well. Light headedness would come from the blood-rush that you experience.

  • i always do that after workouts but i never got light headedness :O

  • to answer questions as to why take an ice bath-- usually when you are done training, your muscles are sore-- naturally you stretch them out, etc to make them feel better--however, there are also micro tears in the muscle that you dont feel but are still inflamed-- by taking an icebath you do a massive cooling of almost every part of your muscle, insuring a more complete recovery.

  • DAMNN!!! Nogueria is really known for heart mann i swearrr. he takes a beating and shit. and fuckin going ice water and act like its nothing. he has no face expression like fedor. Have u fuckin seen tito ortiz on ice water? haha he yells loud

  • why do fighters take ice baths

  • @murleman its supposed to help them recuperate from a fight quicker. it reduces swelling in the body. it is painful though

  • its somethign about cleans out the "bad" blood in thier muscles to let them heal faster and with less imflamation and pain and allows fresh clean "good" blood in to heal any damage caused,

i think, dont quote me on that though, just what ive heard

  • muscle recovery and boost immune system

  • a TRUE veteran

  • well after being run over by a truck at the age of 9 having severe internal bleeding, and surviving....i can see why an ice bath is just a walk in the park for Nog.....that guy's a fucking warrior 4real!!

  • didnt even flinch,

  • thats amazing no change in facial expression, its bad enough at the beach!

  • @seanknot he is a warrior

  • you dont know what that is like until you do it yourself, everyone on this page would have jumped out and started hyperventilating the second you put your foot in.

  • @Arcturistheballer

dont be so quick to judge. i just finished doing this today, and i do it 5 times a week immersed to my neck. im not really sure how nogueira kept from hyperventalating though. He has probably been doing it for years.

  • No, he's not doing this for years. I'm brazilian and at the begining of the video, Nog asks how much time he has to stay there, this was his first time.

  • what a fuckin badass

  • i know how its like...did that before 4 years ago..my doctor advised me to do that to increase my immunity..

  • @Arcturistheballer whos dumb enough to diss that?!

  • Duh.. we know you are dumbass

  • wait whats the point of an ice bath exactly?

  • fast healing of muscles and boosts ur immune

  • Nog keeps taking his ice baths and eating his sea food, UFC heavyweight division is fucked

  • That sux, you can see how Nogueira mentally phases everything out when he is in there.

  • how many bags of ice should I put ???? I really need this, thanks

  • A real icebath...Not like Tito Ortiz's pussy one...

  • ice baths suck, but they work sooooo good.

  • what do they work on?

  • yah they suck.. they work well when you have temp thats about to kill you and you have no way to drop it. Brings back nightmares.. anyone who does ice baths is tough.

  • its good for your body but is it good for your nuts???

  • "its good for your body but is it good for your nuts???"

You missed a few anatomy lessons. The male scrotum is there to regulate the temperature for the testes which produce the sperm. When it is hot, the scrotum hangs low so it receives more air and keeps cool, and when it is cold it pulls toward the body for warmth. Very long ice baths could kill sperm, but more are produced all the time, so it is not a big deal.

  • i think Nogueira doesnt feel any pain honestly

  • @krims0n70 Oh, he feels pain. He just has this incredible ability to remain stone-faced through it.

  • @krims0n70 LOL yeah I'd have to agree

  • wat a fkuing man haha no reaction... imagine puting ur nuts in that

  • He takes it like a man.

  • that must suck but its damn good for quicker recovery

  • hahaha look at the look on his face. hehe

  • is there anything Nog can't take?

  • Im not sure. Im pretty sure he would be the only survivor of a nuclear holocaust, though.

  • damn right lol
