@Robbyzbot If you check out one of my other videos, you can see I'm using the Speck Satin See Thru Case. I have a full review of it out on my channel. Thanks for watching!
@TheJemteck hey.. does the low end 15 inch macbook pro 1799 $ model of late 2011 run games well.. like on bootcamp stuff ? can u put a video of it if u got one ? planning to get that one
@bloodlustuponme Hey thanks for watching. Well it runs them fine, but not very good. Frame rate is kind of low and you can't have games on high settings, but it's definitely still playable. I'll post a video soon of MW3 on it just to show you all how it runs. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe if you enjoyed the video and want more like this!
@TheJemteck sure.. thanks a lot.. i ll check out ur upload then.. i read somewhere that the next macbook 15 inch lineup wud be out in a couple of months.. any idea ?
@bloodlustuponme Yeah, well there should be a new update coming out by the end of the summer, with a possible retina display and thinner body, and most definitely an Ivy Bridge processor, which means better battery life and better performance. Again, the display and re-design rumors are simply that, rumors. If you want more info, check out the forums on MacRumors (dot) com or the blog at 9to5mac (dot) com. Thanks for watching!
@TheJemteck well.. i m not very keen on buying an outdated model if i buy this one today and tomorrow they release the next generation MBP for that price.. so I ll surely wait.. i m sure that the next MBP wud be better in specs in this one 100% but rumours say no ethernet and dvd drive.. so i m kind of stuck up ..but i dont really feel they wud remove a dvd drive coz then they ll mix up Air and pro totally
@TheJemteck nice video, good review but, i'm thinking in getting i macbook i have the money and all but i do not know if waiting for the next model that may come in some months or just buy this one
and changing of topic. where did you buy that case?
@latrusa30 Hey! Thanks! Well if you don't NEED it right now and have another computer for the meantime, I would wait a few months just to see, because here are the two options: 1.) you love the new one and buy that, or 2.) you still want the 2011 one, so you can get it for less money and know that you were happy with your purchase. If you really need it now, then just get one, because you can't stop technology from changing. But since the design's been the same so long, it could be cool.
@latrusa30 The case is the Speck See Thru Hard Shell. I did a video review on it that's one of the older videos on my channel if you want to see it. I bought it on amazon for about 38 dollars. Thanks for watching!
@ricardo1991santos Sure it is. I give a review, as I go over the features of the computer. I kind of talk about the features, and give a review, at the same time.
Do u have any problems on your 15 " with 1080p and how long does it take u to render let me from your experience what's good cause I'm about to invest in one of these I really don't wanna get a dell xps or HP
@pkilla617 I have no problems doing an editing/video work on mine, but I do a very minimal amount, and have had no experience with 1080p, only 720p. Just check some forums and do some google searches, because truthfully, video editing is not my strong suit.
@pkilla617 Also, "how long does it take to to render" is a very open ended question. Render what? How big of a file? How long is the movie? Lots of effects? All these factors come into play, so there is really no way to answer "how long does it take to render". Sorry that this wasn't much help, but don't know what else to say.
@pkilla617 Um well first of all that's not what I said. Second, its the 2011 model. Third, the 13" only has an i5 processor. Please stop trying to outsmart me or make assumptions, I'm telling you what I know best. I said the 15" will perform better if you're doing really high end, graphics intensive professional work. If you're doing average work, the 13" will be fine.
@RandomArrictine Well, yes, but it's a little complicated. It's a great machine and can probably do everything you need for a science major, but there's more to consider. Does your school allow Macs? Do you need to run any programs that run on windows only? If so, can you do it on Bootcamp instead? And a few other things. Check out the forums on the Macrumors website or do a quick search on google and you should find some useful info. I hope this helps, subscribe if you liked! Thanks!
@pkilla617 Well here's the thing. The 13" is a great computer, but it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card. It has an integrated model, the HD3000, which is integrated with the processor. It's not as powerful and has less memory than the dedicated one on the 15". So 1080p might be a little strenuous for the computer, but I think it will probably e doable. Be aware the computer will get VERY VERY hot when rendering and it may take a long time with the 13", but should be possible.
@pkilla617 If you're really heavy into video editing and rendering and do it on a professional level, I would suggest a minimum of a 15" MBP since it has the dedicated GPU and better cooling (bigger cooling surface). But if you just do it form time-to-time and portability is important to you, then get the 13". Good luck!
@TheJemteck A standard is an agreed upon technology built upon buy a group of companies. 802.11n is a networking standard that is freely disseminated for use in networking. So if intel wants to make the tech available for mass use the best way is to make a standard spec for other companies to use for a small fee.
@ElectrikBear SSD's increase performance a ton, but at the price they are at now, I would not get one yet. They are dropping in price pretty quickly, so I know a lot of people (me for example) are waiting for them to drop in price, probably to about $1/GB and then I'll buy one. If you have the money, go for it. Cheers!
@TheJemteck hey i got a macbook pro 15" back in august a it was rediciously hot like 80 degrees c on tic and using safari it hit as high as 93 degrees dose yours have these heat issues if you could send me a pm with a answer that would be epic

great vid. what do suggest??? im looking at an ipad or mac (preferably a mac) for school work and some music editing. im looking at replacing my old pc desktop at home. its sooo slow, so pretty much any mac would be 10x faster. im liking the 15" pro but ive heard rumors that a 15" air is coming out early next year. ohhh and an ipad 3. what would you suggest. get 15/13" pro for christmas or get either ipad 3 or new air or pro next year. brand new features or specs aren't that important for me.thx
@Brok3nCarlos I would wait before you get anything unless you need it now. There are rumors of a 15" air, but there are also rumors of new pro updates. If it doesn't matter to you, I would just go for it. Buy whatever fits your needs and is in your price range, you can also buy used. So if its not important, I would snatch up a used or refurbished 2011 MacBook Pro in your price range. You can always upgrade them later (SSD, RAM, etc). Good luck!
@AntiBoarding007 Lol but don't get me wrong, the keyboard is better at catching crumbs than any keyboard I have previously used. It's insane. It's just there's no seams on it, so it feels a bit nicer in your hands, obviously no difference for performance though. Thanks for watching!
@brysal100 You right click by either using two fingers on the trackpad to click (very easy) or pushing the "command" key while clicking with one finger. Using two fingers is very easy and if you have a magic mouse or magic tack pad, you can set right click to be in the normal position, there just won't be separate buttons (it will still sense wether you click on the right side or the left). Hope this helps! Please subscribe if this answers your question or if you would like more cool vids!

@TheJemteck I think he wanted you to give a specific example of "video encoded in 1080 that is 10 minutes long takes x amount of time to render"

@jamtec so what u saying don't go for the 13" go for the 15" that's really sad to me if a 2012 MacBook pro i7 processor can't handle rendering 1080p
