  • sounds too much like the prodigy

  • classic stuff.

  • I like when people are running in music videos!

  • Dude Garbage so borrowed off of them! Don't get me wrong I totally love Garbage.

  • Does anyone remember this off a Sony Minidisc advert?

  • I also heard this on Buffy, but before I've heard in one of the X-Men movie trailers.

  • Wow, i was JUST watching Buffy and I'm surprised they played this! I use to listen to Curve a lot when i was younger.

  • I think Le Femme Nikita when I hear this not Buffy. Either way it's a great song.

  • 8 people got a chinese burn

  • Sigh... loved Toni for the best part of 2 decades. I miss curve they were bloody brilliant.

  • Who Doesn't Automatically Think Of Buffy & Fatih When Listening To This :P

  • buffy/faith sexydance ftw!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeet.

  • trop cool enfin j'trouve l'original de la pub du mini disc sony!!!!!

  • Damn, this use to be MTV?

Times have changed for the worse.

  • @mscubana word my friend! wooooord! same here in canada with muchmusic! it's a sad affair dude.

  • @mzjoythompson Ugh, this saddens me deeply. To think of it, the Come Clean album was considered to be quite uncommercial, and to me it was one of the better albums released by Curve, along with "Gift." However, I'm glad to know that Toni Halliday is in the studio working on a new project.

  • How did we go from this to Taylor Swift?

  • @blakabooify Tweens and record companies run by idiots.

  • 90's women were the best ever

  • I first heard this song on La Femme Nikita and loved it. Then later I heard it on Buffy too and now I always think of Faith when I hear it.

  • I will be orginal. Not Buffy but Nikita. That's what I'm thinking about when I'm listeninig this. :-)

  • great song for dancing :) ...yeah buffy & faith go wild :D

  • bella tanto

  • bella tanto!

  • i fucking love this album xxxxx

  • oh yeah faith and buffy and kick ass dancing

  • BUFFY

  • i remembr putting in the season 3 disc of buffy for the first time and screaming when this song came on even tho i had no idea who faith was yet :D good times LOL

  • Three hundred thousand PR people couldn't save this video. I'm sorry, the song is great, but the video?

It is failure written in depressing, career destroying letters.

  • This has to be the world's biggest whine. It's a good song, and hard hitting, but combined with the video...

Oh, poor me, I don't control everything.

All I can do is LOL.

  • great song, weird ass video though

  • @zalseon Glad it's not just me that thought the song was awesome, but the video was abjectly terrible.

  • if you start running in a subway, this song plays

  • I think everyone I know has had to listen to me sing this a million times. And they'll have to hear it a million times more XD!

  • When I first watched "Chinese Burn" on MTV the vocals were not in sync with the visuals. This gave the video a disturbing quality I found haunting, adding an edge that enhanced the music ... only to find out much later that this was a broadcasting mistake and not done on purpose. I taped that program (most likely Alternative Nation) on VHS at the time so I have the botched version. No matter how many times I've seen the correct, in-sync video I still prefer that first viewing, LOL.

  • This reminds me of Machines of Loving Grace only with a female singer.

  • I HAVE to break into my Faith and Buffy dance whenever I hear this song ^_^

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN Hahaha same here. Most terrible dancing I've ever seen but me and my cousin are always doing it.

  • It's video - greatest absolute shi-i-i-i-i-i-t!

  • What a mind-blowing tune O_O

  • I heard it on La Femme Nikita

  • the vision is empty

  • my first rock crush...toni

  • WTF? Toni looks like Billy Joe Armstrong in this vid.

  • this track itself is an adventure......

  • Stood behind Tini at Glastonbury whilst she watched LUSH. Just found this album last weekend, yeah I know, but hey LOVING IT!

  • @RVSAID - Better late than never. ;)

  • i remember this song from la femme nikita. i dont know if its older than buffy (which i also loved at a time) but its damn sure more mature. love it.

  • ditto

  • sounds like music from Matrix:P

  • @Ashleyyy85 That's funny you say that, I was just watching the Animatrix DVD, tonight and this song plays during one of the special features...I had to come here for a refresher of this classic song :-)

  • So reminds me of Buffy! I love it thanx for posting x

  • Bangin' tune

  • I ALWAYS think of Faith and Buffy at the Bronze when I hear this.

  • so true

  • @jocelynroxxx Fuxx yeah. i was 14? & fell in mad girl/girl love with dushku & gellar!

  • @jocelynroxxx Fuxx yeah. i was 14? & fell in mad girl/girl love with dushku & gellar!

  • i love musiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic...... BUFFY <3

  • I love Curve and I think it's because of that them I was able to get over my maistream snobbery and decided to listen to a Garbage CD. I think both bands had a fantastic sound.

  • this band rocks

  • yay i found it!!! I heard this on buffy and fell in love! I adore Faith & Buffy! Thanks for posting this :) xxxx

  • i heard this on buffy! it was when her nd faith were dancin at da bronze :/ brings bac memories, i wish i could go bac

  • @krazililli

    i miss buffy </3

  • Notice how Curve and Garbage didn't actually sound similar until Curve released 'Come Clean' though (1997??) and Garbage had been making these heavy electronic songs in 1995 - listen to Subhuman and Trip My Wire (both songs blow anything Curve made out of the water)

  • They're similar but not identical. They're different enough that it isn't fair to say one is ripping the other off, though each may have influenced the other. I like Garbage a great deal, but I don't agree that those songs are better than everything by Curve.

Heavy electronic song's aren't eveyone's absolute fav songs. Curve tends to lean more toward Shoegazing and Garbage toward Industrial. Preference between the two is a matter of taste.

I'm super sick of the fan rivalry.

  • 90s Garbage, was really (respecting you) maybe not in sound, but in style (this applies to Shirley) a copy of Toni, im not making rivalry, but that´s why people is always comparing because they look very similar, althought Garbage in sound are not so similar, maybe they used to make the same technique of almost Industrial/ Shoegazing sound producer, synths+distorted guitar+ vocals passed through all kinds of filters and guitar pedals+ some drum beat, you will find that in most related bands.

  • No no, i respect you but Curve had been making electronic related things since 91 or 92, just listen to "Doppelganger", is a mix of different sounds: distorted guitars, synthetizers and vocals, that´s why people say those things about Garbage, because Curve came out first than Garbage in style, but Garbage went Mainstream, the electronic sound you said, depends on the era we are talking (early 90s, mid 90s etc), most bands did these kinds of beats inspired by the rave culture of that time.

  • Ahh 90s flashbacks..here we are

  • yes! I remember this song from la femme nikita! I loved it then and always wondered what the name of it was. then my friend showed me this video and I was happy as hell lol

  • reminds me a bit of the prodigy...

  • H.A.M.M.E.R. =]

    i love it <3

  • LOL yeh... it screams BUFFY!!!!

    <33

  • Curve is one of the best EVARRRR

I have a bunch of their CDs. I'm still shocked stuff this good used to be on Mtv.

  • Yeah, but what happened with MTV?, i dont know what MTV you got, but now is all Reality Show and pre-made teen shit,... i know time changes, but this is very opposite frow what MTV was years ago, today´s MTV and the past one is like 2 different worlds.

  • Me and my friends get high and drugged up to this song and wyle the fuck out all the time!!! This song is badd asss!!!

  • Cool song.

  • Woo Bad Girls

  • Buffy! Bad Girls! Fuck Yeah!

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • omg. im glad im not the only one who can name the episode on demand. not to mention this played when you start up the season 3 dvd menu. buffy, love it.

  • Buffy and Faith dancing to this song? Pretty much the hottest thing ever aired on television. Awesome song, too.

  • Agreed on both counts!

  • BUFFY BAYBAY||| :DD

  • BUFFY SEASON 3, YO!!

  • As if this band was the first to do this sound. Garbage and Curve aside, anybody heard of, well, this little band called The Cocteau Twins (Garlands), or Jesus & Mary Chain? Or Skinny Puppy.....or Nine Inch Nails...hmmmmm. Good song though.

  • Eh? they sound nothing like this song.....

  • garbage were ugly enough to suceed

  • Curve came first. One of the most mimicked bands of all time. Amazing live show too.

  • Check out Curve - Chinese Burn (Lunatic Calm remix)

    also pretty insane!

  • I agree! ^^

  • awesomeness..

  • I love this song so much. I hear this in Buffy and I felt in love with this song...it's so good!!!

  • same i love it

  • Comment removed

  • This song is the fucking truth!!!

  • who's "she"?

  • This song is so good. Actually, I like Lunatic Calm's Remix a bit more, but it's still good.

  • i heard this song when faith and buffy were dancing ahah, and i dont mind this ladies voice, but i like the beat like so much better

  • Garbage just followed Cyrve's style later on.

  • and improved it.

  • lmao garbage did so NOT improve it as you say, i like garbage but they arent close to curve, get real

  • which garbage song??? Vocal may be similar.

  • I wasn't thinking of a particular Garbage track but their whole 'Version 2.0' album seems to be influenced a lot by this Curve sound.

  • Actually curve formed in 1990 and released 2 albums with this sound before Garbage formed in 1994, these albums are: Doppelgänger (1992) and Cuckoo (1993) and several ep singles and compilations. By the time Garbage released their first album in 1995, Curve had released 8 fantastic singles.

  • this song owns.

  • elettronik???bleAH

  • reminds me of lords of acid soo much

  • the fuck?

  • I heared this song at first at buffy

  • LIMEWIRE FINALLY HAS IT!!!!!!!

  • bad ass song.

  • Still one of my all time fave Curve tracks - the song that got me hooked actually!!!

  • Love this track! I've still got the CD single with the Lunatic Calm version which they used on loads of film trailers.

  • Does anyone know where to download a mp3 of this b*tchin song? =D

  • you can always use the add-on "downloadhelper" for firefox and get yourself a flv-to-mp3-converter

  • ask me for it,i got it ^^

  • buy it. probaby cost about £1.

  • Buy it you cheap bastard. Support the artists.

  • got it on 12" and cd ok!!!!

  • Ooops!!!, now we are talking seriously!.

  • first heard this on buffy. good song. :)

  • I've liked curve since about 1992 (fait accompli, etc..). After years of producing great music they are now in my top 5 bands of all time.

  • very nice woman

  • Good video. Love the song for Faith and Buffy dancing!!

  • Don't know why, but she reminds me of Pat Bentar. They both have intense looks.

  • what's with ditto? ^^

  • Im a huge fan of old Curve's alt rock stuff...for me it's kinda sad that they changed...but in saying that this is still an awesome song

  • have any of you guys heard the remix of this song, it's great... watch my Mr.&Mrs Smith Vid, I love this remix. Tell me what you think :D

  • Sounds good. I prefer this one, like the lyrics.

  • awesome video and great song

  • Saw CURVE in ATLANTA with The Jesus and

    Mary Chain's ROLLERCOASTER TOUR...way back

when they were an influence for ESTHERO (ac-

cording to 120 minutes on MTV). SAW THEM TWO

MORE TIMES LATER>>> AWESOME LIVE BAND...PLEASE

    come back!!!!

  • Toni is a really beautiful woman! This song was a bit like a comeback for Curve but sadly not for long!

  • Fantastic band, It's a shame that they quit.

  • Me too!

    lol

  • heard it on buffy (all hail) sounded rly gud there. Thats why i bought the album (come clean) in the first place

  • Same here i heared it on buffy XD

  • First heard on Buffy, Here Here! Ya, Bad Girls!(that would be the episode ladies and gents)

  • same here :)

  • Anyone who has found this video through first hearing it on Buffy, I salute you! Internet research paying off.

Anyone who calls us sad because of it, get your own life to criticise.

  • For fuck sake reform Toni

  • Ah, Curve, the only good thing to come out of Kilburn. Apart from the A5...

  • I've been looking for this song since I saw the Sony Minidisc ad back in 1997. 11 years of searching finally over! Feels like I've found the holy grail!!

  • lol i know how you feel, as soon as sony released that add i got lucky to see the video clip on mtv, later on in 2000 i think, i showed this cool song to friends and they all were like "hmm i heard this before i'm sure of it, what is it?? please tell me!!" hahah XD terrible

  • i bought the cd a few years ago, i must say, this is actually the only song that sounds great , all the others suck bad, i tried listening to it yesterday again and ... won't try that again in years

  • Opinions are like arses.

  • cos everyones got one lol

  • oh my god! thankyou jordiejordaine, i have been looking for this song for ages, heard it first in the buffy episode as u say and have just found it completely by accident, im so pleased!!

  • Go back to your DragonForce.

  • Song is great. Can't live without it.

Their video...sucks. This I can live without.

    Sorry.

  • same here

  • I personally like it.

The blues and the contrast look nice and is cut well to go with the pace of the song. The settings kind of suit the electronic/industrial sound of the song too.

  • Amo Curve, adoro a Toni, a veces creo que no es de este planeta, gracias!

  • wasn't this song played in one of buffy episodes

  • Yeah it was. It was in the Buffy season 3 episode Bad Girls.

    Excellent song!

  • lol and on all the season 3 DVDs - its an ok song

  • Off the album "Come Clean" which is kick ass the whole way through. Garbage eat your heart out!! (I still love Garbage though:)

  • Damn, I can't find the mp3 for this song anywhere, it's not even available on iTunes!

  • They used this tune for the end credits of the X-Men
