Obama's words are deceptive and partially true but twisted and not fully showing the truth. christmas is not about how Jesus "symbolizes" peace, it is straight up about Jesus Christ the son of God being born to die on the cross for all man kind for our sins and to show gods love towards us. and Jesus lived as a example of how every christian must strive to live. but we are not to live by the law, but by faith.

He uses the birth of Jesus as a "symbol" for peace and respect.

I think he accepts and appreciates these childrens' views. What was he supposed to say? No, that's not correct.

We are in a country where most families raise their children based on a book.

Christmas is celebrated all over the world for many different reasons and for anyone to think that they "own" or they "created" Christmas is just delusional.
