As an irish dancer, i agree that the traditional parts were best and it does look a lot better without all the fancy hand movements and stuff. but still really good and the canons are excellent :D

trinity certainly is an amazing school, but there are better schools and better teachers in America besides them. They are mostly famous because of their company. I think that the schools in Europe set a higher standard, especially in Ireland which they can't in America because its not part of the culture. But I love the choreography :)

This video doesn't even do the dance justice.. seeing the U15 this year at the oireachtas was incredible! and then I got to see them again at the dinner dance (wear they all wore glow necklaces that were lying around which was awesome!) and it was just incredible!!

Well, you can still see part of their hair at the very top, like, right above their foreheads, so if they all had one color, then the ones whose wigs didn't match their hair color would look odd.

Usually Trinity dominates, but this year at the Midwest Oireachtas, ya'll were awful in choreography!

I defintely agree. While Trinity has won a considerable amount of world recognition, they are certainly not the most dominant Irish Dance School in North America.

besides, the claim was that trinity is the dominant school, which nobody can argue. trinity is the largest id school in the world. they have the largest presence at regional comps and are constantly featured on tv an in print.

i have to say..wen we finished on stage at worlds this year half of us were in tears becasue we felt it was such a good run...wen we got off stage our teachers were crying wea ll ended up crying lol i luv u girls

lol, I'm Irish.. My team and I got a silver in the worlds in Glasgow one year, and in previous years got a 6th and 4th.. I can't believe they were on American tv for it and everything.. We just had cake to celebrate! :P

they have a great choreographer, it was really nice, but HOLY COW their school is humungo!!! my own school has grown very small in the past years and has about 20 in it, and we dont even have enough to do our choreography anymore :(

i heard trinity likes to have their dancers that are in ceili's and figures with the same hair color. i think it gives more of a sense of uniformity.

Actually, hair color has nothing to do with how we choose teams. That is based on skill, height and age. We aren't all natural blondes. Some girls dyed their hair and most just wore blonde wigs.

i watched it at worlds and im not kidding...you got goosebumps. there was just nothing like the rush from watching the tiny girls in perfect form! trinity is a great school and has done great things and i agree w iPoeky-they deserve everything they got!! :)
