  • I played this for years, had the game stolen, listened to the music, and only now do I truly realize how gorgeous this track is. Fuck you, time.

  • ha kuckt auf mich bin n hamster

  • is the picture in the video from official artwork for the game?

  • O-oh my God. You did Panzer Dragoon. NOBODY I KNOW HAS PLAYED PANZER DRAGOON.

YOU HAVE ALL OF MY LOVE. ALL OF IT.

  • two question: What system is this for and does anyone know if it was released in Europe? thanks

  • @Gohauld panzer dragoon.. was a WONDERFUL amazing Sega saturn game.

  • @belmontzar I see... Thing is I never had a Sega Saturn console^^; Did they release it on PC as well? Cause I think I have seen this one in a PC game magazine some time ago (I hope they did... WANNA PLAY!!!!)

  • videogame music is some of the most diverse and creative out there, and this proves it, highly emotive music perfectly captures the spirit of the game :)

  • I love this song, and I love the picture, I've tried looking for it everywhere :(

  • that song have the same feeling the Flight Theme in Dragon Quest VIII

  • The best game series no one played...

  • I just finished Saga and have come to the conclusion that this is one of my favorite series ever.

  • One word: EPIC!

  • lol i found this game on the Xbox xD FIghting some of the bosses onthis game was challenging and half the time a real pain in the ass XD

  • thanks for the good sound definition ;)

  • those panzer games looked like a dreamland serious like the ancient pieces in those games remind me of some viking alike dreams or some ancient clocks, envoirment that my grandma had.

  • Probably the best video game song ever.

  • those were the good old days!!!! i loved this game!!!

  • (posted by ICYTR's Husband who's been to date too lazy to setup his own youtube account and is kyping hers) :-)

This is a great track! Lots of memories for me. I was 15 when the Saturn hit the US, 16 or 17 when I played this, and loved the music! Very nice symphonics, great way musically to start a (for the time) -epic- adventure. My only thing about this (and this is -not- a slam, I rather like it) is that it has a slightly "70's TV series" tinge to it. Listen for it and see if you hear it!

  • As game music goes, this is my very favorite. Not sure exactly how to put it except that it's so beautiful it hurts...sounds corny I know. :-P

  • awsome song, i played this game when i was like 8 hahah

  • I love this song! elegant!

  • Beautiful *o* !!!

  • I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love...

  • Hell yeah Panzer Dragoon. Songs were made by an orchestra thanks to the CD space storage. This was a huge step for video games

    Anyway this song is amazing

  • yup, the czech philarmonic symphony :)

  • I wonder, looking at the art style, was this the same person who drew the designs for Breath of Fire IV?

  • Lol, another saturn? I wouldn't mind that, that'd be kinda cool

  • they should make saturn 2 i mean why not if theres ps2 and 3 also the shitbox 360 why cant sega come up with something nitendo does it sega is the godfather of all this shit i mean we the people who r fans of sega should do something like raze money like 1 pound ( 2dollars) there must be millions of people who would do it just imagine the faces on playstation and x-box companies it would be a history for something like this to happen the best console ever to be made by us the SEGA_FANS

  • @mujzupanek The problem with this is Sega doesn't seem to have the same design talent it had in the 90's. Back then, there was real competition between first and third party developers and the consoles they programmed for. Nearly everything is cross-platform now, and since Sega doesn't their own system to promote, they seem to have lost what made them great to begin with.

  • NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, Saturn, N64, you had a LOT of consoles back in the day, eh SupraDarky?

  • This sounds fantastic.

  • Awesome soundtrack on this one :)

  • This was the first Saturn game I ever played. That 1st stage over the sea is magical, and so is that song!!!

  • same here, nostalgia is hitting me hard right now.

  • Damn I feel stupid, I've been looking at the picture as if they're flying into the background but they're actually coming from the background -_- Neat game for a neat time_^)

  • holy shit i loved this game, too bad it didnt get the attention it deserved. panzer dragoon saga, and panzer dragoon zwei were the best in the series.

  • not just panzer dragoon sega itself dosent get the attention it deserves. partly do to the fact of medicore Storylines.

  • Oh, wow. Definitely impressed with this entry, Darky. Never had a Saturn, so I never got to play this one =/

  • First Panzer Dragoon was ported on PS2.

  • There are also Panzer Dragoon Zwei (Saturn), Panzer Dragoon Saga (RPG for Saturn) and Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xbox)

  • It is also available on Xbox as a bonus in Panzer Dragoon Orta.

  • Haha, I forgot to mention, Panzer Dragoon was ported on PC also.

  • So you can play Panzer Dragoon on PS2, PC and Xbox (with Panzer Dragoon Orta, wich is the last installment of the series by now and is considered one of the best games for the first Xbox), whatever you like)))

Zwei and Saga, however, remain Saturn exclusives, but you can play using an emulator. I played PD Saga and it run with no problems, however, I played only the first levels, I don't know if there will be bugs further in the game, check the compatibility list to be sure))

  • I look at the dragon and all I can think about are the redesigned bosses from the PS2 remake of Space Harrier. It's as if they were redesigned on purpose to look somewhat more Panzer Dragoon-ish.

Oh, and how brutally difficult Panzer Dragoon Orta is.

  • Great game, and SUPERB music. I love the opening theme........so............*twiddles thumbs*

  • I'll definitely upload that one at some point.

  • I saw some gameplay for this one. It looks pretty special.

  • Very good and unique series!

  • Probably one of the earliest games that can be used in the "games as art" argument. The artistic direction in these games are superb.
