Back when Bowser was actually really threatening...I remember being scared to meet him in the Mario games, like Super Mario world, Lost Levels, and Mario 3, and of course this game. While, say, Mario Sunshine was really fun, Bowser wasn't threatening at all.

@BoyFromFarEast That's not necessarily true. I'm 14, I was born in 1997, I played many (shitty) games like CoD and great ones like Pokémon Yellow, SMB3, Mario 64 and LoZ.
@BoyFromFarEast You have to realize that the new generation won't be able to go back and play everything we had. I rarely ever played the "old" games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong (which were incidentally my favorites of that era). I never even owned an NES; I started with Game Boy and SNES while playing NES from time to time till I got a Wii with VC.
I'm proud of where I come from and as long as developers keep those people in mind, the kids of today will like the current brand of our favorites
maybe 80's had the music and movies, but the 90's had the videogames *w*, I'm glad to be an old fashioned boy, I'm 20, but I don't care about the new games, except for some few like Tales of, and such, but I always play the games of yore

I might not be that old, and I may like CoD, but I remember being about 2 years old playing this game. Most exciting game ever. Collecting the stars, getting invincibility from turtle shells instead of stars, and the Wing Cap.Oh, glorius Wing Cap.
I wouldn't hate CoD so much if they would stop using the God dame engine and making one every year, seriously give it a break, people ripped Mario for making the same game, but if you think about it there wasn't a 2D Mario Platformer on a home console since SNES and then appeared again on Wii. Basically Mario is original and awesome, CoD is the same thing just with zombies and repetitive.
So many games today are rated "M" . Probably more than half! In the 90's, hardly any games were rated what is now "M" . It's horrible. I grew up playing Super Mario 64. My nephew grow up playing some game where your a zombie prostitute who chops people's heads of with an ax :/
People! Thumbs up if you all still playing Mario 64, keep listened this music endlessly and wandering around Bowser's Road. My favorite is the Dark World. I kept remixing the original by throwing the tune up from time to time in this level.
I prefer Nintendo to make to a new game called Mario 64 Wii (not the VC one) with more stars, new characters and probably the same Bowser levels with challeging details. Whoa I've gone too far now, either way it doesn't look like sh**.

@jedimasterpickle3 I have completed thrice this game. This game is pretty cool but the controls and the characters movements has some serious flaws. They should released it in late 2011 instead of 2004.
Why? The game is made with 3D polygons which it comes into 64-bit so there's nothing special.
Bowser may look desperated and slower but it's good to see him attacking.
this is honestly the most vivid memory of when I'm trying to get to bowser for the first time. took so many lives, from, the amps, the flames, falling so many times because of the pressure and my hands getting sweaty on the joystick which didnt really help. and then when you press that button to make the stairs and the timer goes! you rush to the top you get there and your like woo! and your like time to kick youir fucking ass bowser, but then you decide to fuck around with the pipe! XD

@Mortskcab Agreed, although this is not something that exemplifies the '90s in gaming for me, although this is still an all-time favorite of mine.
SMB3 > SMG2 >= SMG1 > SM64 >= SMW, and all are top tier.

I might not be that old, and I may like CoD, but I remember being about 2 years old playing this game. Most exciting game ever. Collecting the stars, getting invincibility from turtle shells instead of stars, and the Wing Cap.Oh, glorius Wing Cap.

I wouldn't hate CoD so much if they would stop using the God dame engine and making one every year, seriously give it a break, people ripped Mario for making the same game, but if you think about it there wasn't a 2D Mario Platformer on a home console since SNES and then appeared again on Wii. Basically Mario is original and awesome, CoD is the same thing just with zombies and repetitive.

So many games today are rated "M" . Probably more than half! In the 90's, hardly any games were rated what is now "M" . It's horrible. I grew up playing Super Mario 64. My nephew grow up playing some game where your a zombie prostitute who chops people's heads of with an ax :/

@wolborgZ Well, thing is, when I put in 1 or more remotes, my 64 gets stuck, forcing me to reset it.
When I use the on/off button it doesn't work anymore, like, it's on, but nothing happens.
I have to pull the game out, blow some dust out of it, let the 64 cool down, and try again.
I just have to use the reset button ><

People! Thumbs up if you all still playing Mario 64, keep listened this music endlessly and wandering around Bowser's Road. My favorite is the Dark World. I kept remixing the original by throwing the tune up from time to time in this level.
I prefer Nintendo to make to a new game called Mario 64 Wii (not the VC one) with more stars, new characters and probably the same Bowser levels with challeging details. Whoa I've gone too far now, either way it doesn't look like sh**.

@jedimasterpickle3 I have completed thrice this game. This game is pretty cool but the controls and the characters movements has some serious flaws. They should released it in late 2011 instead of 2004.
Why? The game is made with 3D polygons which it comes into 64-bit so there's nothing special.
Bowser may look desperated and slower but it's good to see him attacking.

this is honestly the most vivid memory of when I'm trying to get to bowser for the first time. took so many lives, from, the amps, the flames, falling so many times because of the pressure and my hands getting sweaty on the joystick which didnt really help. and then when you press that button to make the stairs and the timer goes! you rush to the top you get there and your like woo! and your like time to kick youir fucking ass bowser, but then you decide to fuck around with the pipe! XD
