idiots saying theres no power in the kicks. this is a semi contact sport! when you compete youre supposed to do the technique right and score points not crush the skull on your opponent! but i can promisse you that thos 2 girls could probably kick your asses if they would have decided to go full contact on your asses ;)

It's not the power of the "kicks" but relaxed and fast combinations to other kicks with the same leg, e.g. fast high roundhouse. That's why the defender often has to take precautions by moving away. You get the same number of points for hitting your opponent, be it powerful or just a snap. That's one reason why these "kicks" come in handy.
I'm sure Katya can kick harder but the goal in ITF is to score points, not to KO. Ultimately, it's always the question of rules what it comes to martial arts. Some prefer technical side, others just raw power. I can see the beauty in both of these aspects but usually, to some degree at least, they are mutally exclusive things.
