  • these guys are freakin out about finding this? I find these every day set in the same year.

  • @MadamMiakoda I find these every hour set in the same month.

  • I stuck in some rebar for a friend of mine.....I am much more accurate than a surveyor.....all you need is a iphone and some orange flagging

  • @steelerhog you can also use Google Earth or a good Rand McNeely map too and it will be super super super accurate. If you put on the orange ribbon (not the green ribbon) it will seal the deal.

  • @steelerhog once you put the re-bar in it's the god number. If you put survey ribbon on it that makes it much more accurate.

  • do people getting a house survey normally get those mounuments like that - i really think they are great and am buying a new house but do not know if I want to spend all that money... I could stake it myself... i got tons of rebar

  • Actually surveyors use section corners or quarter corners when doing a boundary survey. If you are getting an elevation established the surveyor will use a vertical control monument. The monument in this video is actually a horizontal control monument used for georeferencing and assigning coordinates to a survey.

  • thanks for the info.... from the resaerch i have done, they will stake the corners... and if I do not like how well they do it... i can shove re-bar in there myself... thanks for the input!

  • Mike Blair officially lost his NGS cherry on this hunt!
