lol, this has become one of my favourite videos. I'm totally making myself some porkchop sandwiches soon, half for the novelty of eating porkchop sandwiches, half because that looked unbelievably sweet.
A "normal" tonkatsu sandwich...? I suppose a sandwich is really just 2 pieces of bread or a tortilla and whatever's available to place in between or inside.
I do, but my wife does most of the cooking. Once a week we have gaijin food night and I cook. I made perogies from scratch a couple of weeks ago! I had to use a bottle of shochu as a rolling pin.
トンカツ ソース。Unfortunately my Japanese ability with the label end there. It's sort of like a mild bbq sauce. I can't really describe it. It's good, that's all that matters to me. Maybe another person can answer you, if not I'll try to remember to ask my wife when she gets home.
Here is what is in the bulldog soosu: Lots of vegetables. carrots, tomato, apple, prunes, apricot, onion, vinegar, sugar, and corn starch. No fish or animals.
Oh I like my booze, not usually when I'm hanging out by myself in the day though! I've never mixed shochu with anything before, I'll give it a try one day though.
An interesting thing (as you may know) is that to the Japanese there is no such thing as a sissy drink! (I still think that girlie drinks are girlie drinks though!)
Actually I lied! I've had shochu mixed with hoppy. Normally I just drink it straight with a bit of ice though. I tend to stay away from it if I'm drinking all night though, it tends to sneak up on me.
hoppy eh? i've never tried it actually. can't go wrong with shochu and water/tonic with a little lemon. :)
a japanese friend of mine who is close to 60 totally makes fun of me for my calpis/ichiko combo. he pretty much told me that i may as well be drinking milk from a boob. lol. good times though.
You noh cookin'

porkchop sandwiches is one of the funniest videos on here, I was hoping you would be oblivious to this, although your impression was pretty spot on.

Normal as in how it would be if I bought it somewhere. It would probably be better with more stuff, but I'm pretty lazy.

My wife makes me superb hamburg sandwichs with lots of mayo, tomato and all kinds of Japanese special ingredients.

Calpis Soda = Ghey! Regular Calpis FTW!

Ryan, you cut your sandwich wrong. To maximise flavour, it should always be cut into TRIANGLES. Lesson learned.

After 3:15, I would spread mustard a bit and toast it for a few minutes.
Try it next time. :)
Hope your job hunting goes well.

my wife has made me that exact meal numerous times. it is the win. :)
not sure if you're a drinker, (and i know it's daytime) but calpis and ichiko shochu mix quite nicely. it's my sissy drink of choice. :)

Hoppy is a non-alcholic beverage made from hops (that's my understanding anyway). Old men mix it with shochu. It's not bad though.
