@samuell24 Austin was clearly on the decline at this point. All of his injuries made it hard to depend on him and kept him out of main event level matches.
He should faced Nash at least, of not Hogan. Hall was always just a sidekick for the nWo, sorry. Nash led the Wolfpac. He was a main eventer. Or maybe a handicap match? Outsiders vs. Austin? Nonetheless, WWE screwed up on this one.
@ChicagoMadeBill99 Yeah they did screw it up. But my understanding was Austin wanted to have a great match at WM and wasn't into the whole nWo thing. Compromsing Vince gave him the best performer of the core of the nWo and that was Scott Hall. Instead of the nWo Austin wanted to fight Kurt Angle. Vince gave Steve Scottt Hall and wanted Austin to job to Hall at WM causing a reason for the brand split. Steve said "fuck that" and this rushed match is what we got. Then Steve left for a few weeks.
Was I the only Stone Cold fan that found this match to be an incredible disappointment? To me, it is w/o a shadow of a doubt, the least enthralling of all of Austin's WM match's, and definitely bellow expectations for an Austin WM match. I used to think that this was this match he was given as result of the Austin v. Hogan @ WM 18 match falling through, but according to Austin himself this was the plan all along... Which needless to say, I find to be quite surprising.
@Gojira2012 The poison is Linda Mcmahons senatorial campaign not Cena. The more dead wrestlers that are or were employed by Vince and Linda caused the WWE to change the in ring work of its performers. Linda's campaign also changed the content of its programming for a more family friendly show. Cena and the WWE can be more entertaining, Vince just has to divorce Linda.....
@Xplisit23 expressing excitement at something casual fans wouldn't notice. example being, casual fans wouldn't have known scott hall used the fall-away slam a lot during his razor ramon gimmick. here, scott did the move, and the fans cheered for it because of the nostalgia factor. hence, "marking out."
@aw454wtr lol wouldnt make sense since he built up the hall name with the nwo...plus he didn't use the cuban gimmack anymore. I would have loved to see him return as razor and win the world title...but the man has had so many substance abuse problems that he ruined any chance of the world title.

@Gojira2012 Actualy there 3 poison in the WWE and their names are Alberto del rio, The Miz and R-Truth, Cena and Orton are the antidote
jonsi1990 4 months ago
@jonsi1990 what... if R Truth was really that bad he would have killed the Attitude Era but he didn't and for Orton and Cena they ARE poison
