But Vanessa's voice (in my opinion) is not better than Melody Thornton's or NIcole Scherzinger's voice...Nicole has 5 octaves and Mel 4 ...

The reason a lot of shows insist that artists lip-sync is because they are too bothered about customer satisfaction and don't want things going wrong or it sounding terrible like it would do with some singers!

Here it sounds as though there is a selective backing track. That being, when they sing through the mic a you will hear that - but when there is no imput into the mic the backing vocals automatically come out stronger to make up for it. It's common for lively performances. Vanessa = talent

if i had to compare, girls aloud wouldn't even come to mind. the saturdays are their own people with a mix of sugababes/all saints (strong live vocal harmonies) rihanna (sexy & attractive but not in a boring way + RnB beats) spice girls (earthy, individual, fun colourful personalities). don't get the ga comparison persoanlly aside from the fact that both groups consist of 5 females.

Theyre nothing alike though : | The Sats are ace live (particularly A cappella & acoustically), their harmonies are tight & soulful, their small live band cool. They play 7 instruments between them & songwrite. Their album consists of Retro pop/RnB/Synth beats/Dance.Theyre interesting, hilarious, brainy, witty, sweet, down to earth, warm, fun. Have good musical experience & tastes (Una alone was in a Rock band then went solo doing Jazz/Folk/Blues stuff). GA - well, Ill just stop typing.

No feud whatsover lol. Not only did they tour together sharing buses & have each other in their Top myspace friends, but both groups have publicly spoken fondly about each other. When asked, The Sats said GA are "sooo genuinely lovely" & mothered them on tour, they were rooting for them at the Brits. & GA have voluntarily promoted the girls saying they really deserve to be successful because they're such "hardworking, lovely, talented girls who make fantastic Pop music".
