  • I found this movie enjoyable (and especially Michael Greyeyes is worth a look!!), but it has too much flaws and illogical scenes to be convincing. For example: why Tokalah had a vision about a woman with a BOOK - something he most likely never saw in his live before! I mean, a vision about a woman with a baby, red dress, white horse... would be understandable - but with a book?!? Where Anna took the permanent makeup in the indian camp is her secret too...

  • i wont a indian like him

  • @neighbouroftheforest thank you for your comment; some of my european ancestors lived along side and intermarried with the native american in the southeast; and I am proud to be from both

  • exelente pelicula

  • best movie on this subject I have ever watched.

when I watched this movie for the first time, it was a long time ago, left a strong impression on me. I hardly found it now, I forgot his term. but I am glad that I managed to find and that I remembered this film at all :DDD

  • I think they need to make a film of how Custer would raid Indian Camps and take Indian Woman for his own Sex Slaves, a few other Generals did the same, but Custer was Notorious for this, second only to Mass Murder.

  • I just love native americans. =)

  • peace from mississippi

  • Another good novel true story about Cinthia Anne Parker called Rides the Wind is an amazing story she and her brother were taken as very young children and the story takes you to when she and Wander both died. It was a wonderful book very well written and brought out the beauty of the Native Americans. Yes, I am Cheyenne and Blood and Apache, Shawnee and Crow thanks to my parents and Greandparents and Great Grandparents and they were able to share stories of our peoples with me!

  • @Skydancer1971 : I agree with you! I have read the book four times.

it's very well written. I leant my copy out and now it is gone. I'll have to buy another one..again! LOL

May the beauty of the People continue to walk the paths of the Ancestors.Aho

  • @BrightStar5972 you know I had eight copies lol I kept lending them out too and never got them back I hate that so you know what I think I am going to tell those people find the books you borrowed or pay with interest i have so many books and they my friends and family think I am a free library and then they want to know why I will not give out my other books of the Plains Indians and other serious books the romance novels I don't care but those are my prides.

  • @Skydancer1971 : I know what you mean! Nail it to your book shelf!

It was poetic license with a story, but, still. I liked it all the same. This movie, however, is Hollywood romanticizing at it's best. Tsk. I would not have wanted to be those woman for the world. It was brutal rape and a hard life..Any prisoner of what ever action is usually treated harshly in the old days..and in the world in parts.

  • @BrightStar5972 Sorry this is late, I found this message just now wasn't trying to ignore you sorry. And I got two books back and was very upset with the ones I leant them too, after they swore nothing would happen so I got lucky and got one copy that no1 will be borrowing now. It in my room in my no loan bookcase. I am still upset about that book and 10 others I got back in horrible shape. And yeah, and people still are treated harshly today all over the world. But we know hollywood they...

  • @BrightStar5972 Just want to show enough to make money, they really need to think more on giving more facts and less glamour. Beause now I can barely stand to sit through any show or movie because it has no substance to it. I guess why I've always preferred books and music to watching slapped together, chasing pregnant teen girls or cheating couples, or arresting idiots. In fact most my time my t.v. is off unless I want to listen to a music station or catch the weather and news.

  • @BrightStar5972 especially Rides the Wind when I get that back or have to buy it for the 9th time that one will not leave my house lol I know it silly but I do a lot of shopping at the used book store and I always end up with that copy but this time grrrrrrr it mine if I have to buy it again someone is going to be in trouble if they try to get their hands on it. Lol I am just mad tht that book has never been made into a movie

  • @ suntea

Actually Anna did tell her own story. She and Sarah were subjected to rape- Anna became wife to the native for his protection. She was pregnant when she was returned, people shunned her, the boy died ( or was killed) age 3, her husband and brother were cruel to her, husband got her pregnant a few times, abandoned her, eventually she broke down. She was sorry she had ever been found, that Tokalah had at least been kind and loving. She was buried next to the boy.

  • Beautiful movie!Obrigada por compartilhar!

  • merci pour ce partage bon dimanche

    amicalement

  • The true story is much more interesting--- you can find it easily by web search. Both women were interviewed in later years.

  • @vivaloriflamme only one was interviewed because only Sarah White would talk about her experience, Ana would not. The real story was sad, true hard life, you needed grit to stay alive back then.

  • What will stoping and unloading help. I mean you will be right out in the open you might as well have a target on you. A

  • just great..BELLISSIMO..CiAo

  • Michael Greyeyes is one sexy beast!!!!!!!!! om nom nom!! x

  • Evan S Connells book " Son of the morning star" explodes the myth of the noble savage very well .A recaptured woman of the Kiawahs speaks of the cheif Santanta beating the brains out of her child because the crying annoyed him . She spoke of the absolute contemp for the buffalo and environment the indians showed slaughtering indiscriminately usually to the indians detriment . She was kept alive barely , only as a trading commodity for whisky ,sugar or coffee .

    Phooey , noble savage .

  • OMG Micheal Greyeyes is so freaking hot..-starts to form a puddle of drool at her feet-

  • Native American's really do it for me, I think the men are just gorgeous!

  • @suzenz I know. I know it sounds wierd, but I saw a pic of my great grandpa And he was a very nice looking man. I fall for the dark skin, dark eyes and long black hair. :p

  • This movie is based on a lie. Check out the real history if Custer's battle @ the Washita. You will find that he actaully rescued several captures white women. many of whom were very badly treated.

  • can you put up the rest of this?? please please?

  • amazing start, i kno i'll love the rest.

  • Hey all of you who like Michael Greyeyes. He is the hero in this film...involved with the redhead woman. He has a small part in Smoke Signals..the basketball game part. I almost didn't recognize him.

  • Respect to my Native brothers in the America. Greetings i am Kirat, Native of the Himalayas. We share same culture-religion and even history. Your people were invaded by the white race and my people(Kirat) were also invaded by the Vedic Aryan. plz watch this video ==> "Kiratas:the Himalayas Race"

    and

"Sakela~the greatest festival of Kirat people" to learn more about my beautiful people, culture and religion.

    From OneNative2Another,

May Mother Earth, Mother Nature and our Ancestors bless us.

  • @diliprai oooo i think i read up on your people!!^^ your culture is wonderful and i love it!!!

  • @Tohil9

I think a little longer than 500, I would go with the thousands.

  • @Tohil9 Of course you are, your am American and don't forget that, i know the europeans did alot of stupid stuff in the past and we all do mistake even you done so you have to admit. But the US has alot to thank the native indians espicially during World War II (windtakers). you helped the country win the war and keep the world stay safe.THANKS. If your american take great pride for your people but also of your nation, the USA is your nation too. The world is changing place, with its ups & down.

  • @Tohil9 500 years?? of what?

  • @WaterMots genocide.

  • @Tohil9 oh bullshit. Aztec are not Native American. You have no clue as to what the Native Americans are all about. You illegals and Latinos think it's all just about getting free lands checks. IT IS of no benefit to American Indians to be associated with any other “indigenous” groups in the world, or any other “ethnic” groups within America. Do not think the Elders are not watching this latest attack by the American Government.

  • @Zalahblue what are you talking about? last time i checked, the aztecs, mayans, incas, etc. were definitely native indigenous peoples in the americas. anyway i think the point this person was trying to make was that even after all that bloodshed that occurred throughout history between the europeans and the natives, they haven't gone extinct, the native american population will live on.

  • @eyegazer Aztec, Mayans and Incas are from South and Central America. Not the North. Native Indians didn't do the blood sacrifices like those peoples did. It is true there are many tribes surviving today in the USA, but just like the Russians and the Turkish we are all from different lands with different cultures, beliefs religions and histories. We are not all one people to be grouped together like cattle. It's insulting.

  • part 2???

  • omg...i could watch him forever!! He's soooo handsome!!

  • thanx! i luv native american movies!!! can u upload the sign of the beaver? its a great movie!!

  • It is one fantastic movie.I love Native Americans men.

  • @BellaNapolimia Same here hun sooo sexy!! x

  • Find the whole movie here. Stay on youtube followed by /watch?v=IAw_b8lthX4 . It's in English, but has Spanish subtitles. Kept telling me Error, try again when I tried posted this comment with the full link, so I'm trying it this way.

  • @1516jen Thank you very much. It worked. Wow, what a moving film! However, I wasn't sure who's side to be on. Anna had betrayed her husband, which was wrong, but she never should have married him in the first place. Anna had no love for Michael which left her open to love another. I was torn between wanting her to end up with Tokalah in the end, but at the same time I didn't. You probably won't agree with me, but that's how I felt about the situation.

  • oh gosh hes fit

  • You can buy this great movie dvd at ioffer.

It sells for five dollars, two dollars shipping.

  • How do I find this movie????

  • @pstm1188 Stay on youtube dot com followed by /watch?v=IAw_b8lthX4 . It's in English, but has Spanish subtitles.

  • I must admit this guy is beautiful but no way is he as fine as the indian from Last of the Mohicans... He was sinfully delicious!! :o

  • haha the bibel saved her - cheap!

  • @Gusty85 -> Yeah, I kind of have to agree with you on that... how would he even know what it represented? Did Indians even know about books at that point?

  • @noutubeusrnames Of course they knew about books. Indians weren't stupid. This took place in what 1886 or 1868? In the 1830s there was a Cherokee Indian by the name of Sequoia who devised a written language for his people and translated the Bible into their language. Plus, missionary schools had been set up all over America in an attempt to educate and civilize Indians. It is no wonder then that this man would have recognized a Bible since he would be familiar with the missionaries in his area

  • Please please please upload the rest of the movie!!! I love that movie soo much!!! I have never had the opportunity to watch it entirely!!! I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much! :)

  • OMG he's so hott

  • @eoharjo1 That is really nice. I am Afrikan amerikan & I enjoy meeting & making friends w/other people of color & learning about their cultures. I especially love & am very interested in Native amerikans & their culture & history (which is how I came across this video) I'd love to learn more & if you have any suggestions of good movies that portray Native amerikans in a good light I'd love to know. =) & like I said, I'm black & from South Carolina, so I know all about that "racist" thing SMH.

  • @eoharjo1 And I think that I've found the full movie posted by "TheEnchantedNymph" under the title: "~Sτolεи Womąи, Cąpτurεd Hεąrτs~1/9~" Enjoy! =)

  • @eoharjo1 do u know any native american culture communities in newyork

  • @blackdurga -> I too am native american, my mother is full. • @eoharjo1 Hi, I am from Germany. In my country there are many people interested in the North American Indians. You are not alone! Many people in the world love your people!

  • I would refuse 2 let that hottie make me go away. I'd sprain my ankle, or just faint. :)))

  • where is the rest of the movie?

  • This is a beautiful story. You have to remember history here. Many families died in these parts because of the US Military. The military were the worst, and caused many lives gone for all the wrong reasons. The natives faught for their lives and their families. US military went in a destroyed, captured and stole all the land they could for their own uses. All of it, illigal. Remember your US History.... It is clear as day... Ignorance breeds greed, hate, and war.......

He takes my tears and he puts them in a bottle, and save them. He whispers in my ear,how his thoughts towards me are more then you can count in the sand. Oh how he love me.

  • I wish I lived back then! He wouldn't have to capture me! Hell I would go fight with the Lakota! What they did to those people is more then wrong it's just....sick!

I want a man just like that... flowing hair... great body... Just beautiful... a work of art! lol

  • @kiwiqt I KNOW!!!! lol...he has the body of a GOD!!!!!! Only way to describe him is...PERFECTION!! lol x

  • @onoaptelunga-yes indeed it's very sad. no problem and your welcome. :)

  • MIchael Greyeyes I am supprised.. well maybe not I am sure you got paid well or did you?

  • @onoaptelunga-they wanted their land and gold. but natives refused to move out the way, so they either captured them, killed them, or relocated them. thats why their in "reservations" now-a-days.

most natives were killed either in wars/fights, man-made diseases, or from forced relocations. research "trail of tears". some were even captured and made into slaves (like blacks).

  • Of course I would want men on horseback chasing me. Half naked ones....that's better.

  • Yes its just a movie but people believe this stuff and I am very surprised about the Ndn actors in it. and if you read some of the comments .. well

  • @Dahtiye-hehe yea i know. people believe in movies all the time whether it says its a true story or not.

what is ndn and what comments are you referring too?

i mean a lotta people take this movie to heart and start talkin crap cuz some stories about captives being tortured. we do know the true history but at the same time i enjoy THE MOVIE itself. doesn't have to make sense to everybody.

  • @onoaptelunga-exactly!!!! thats what we're saying! they always want the "horror" side of things. for once let it be a happy story!

no it's not that they didn't have women anymore. between wars and diseases, the native population drastically died down. women and children were being killed in the masses along with the men. so men captured white women to join their tribe to keep their tribes from going to extinction.

  • please put up the rest of the movie, this looks really good

  • I also want half naked men on horseback chasing after me. I would 'try' to run away. Maybe I might 'trip' and fall. Just so they can catch me. X3

I can't wait to see part 2! Great work so far! ^.^

  • @ElementDragonRider92 We'll have to share lol...not enough half naked men to go around lmao x x

  • @WELSHGIRL76 And I'm okay with that. X3

  • @ElementDragonRider92 your hilarious :)

  • @Mojosfire First of all, regardless of whether or not it was offensive, it still happened. Second of all, the reason Native men captured white women was to make sure their tribes didn't die off to extinction. Now honest to God I have Native ancestry, and I wonder why people would want to ALWAYS refer to the terrible or horrible part of history. It's a movie. I'm also black, should I find it offensive everytime I see a movie with slaves in it that wasn't true?

  • i wanna watch the rest of this movie
