@InfiniteMisery003 Haha glad I could help. The amp used in this video is just my practice amp. For YouTube stuff I use a PodXT Live now, and I have a Peavey 6505+ through a Marshall 1960A for band stuff so I think I'm okay in the amp department :)
RG220 have darker tone than the RG350 due to the nature of the rosewood fretboard with no front routing(more wood more tonal). The RG350 having maple fretboard & pickguard like strat makes sound much brighter. Since pu is same neither f-spacing influence the tone except with change in pickup height. For me RG220 is more metal whilst RG350 bit modern in sound.
should i buy F-spaced pickups for an Ibanez RG guitar? I'm planning to get Ibanez RGR321EX or RGT6EXFX..is it still ok if I buy the normal pickups (dimarzio)? is the sh-4 ok with your rg350m?
@jasonism123 it depends what kind of bridge you have. if it has a fixed bridge (which i think the RGT6EXFX has) then you can use a regular, if it has a floating bridge (aka floyd rose style) you can use f-spaced. you don't NEED f-spaced pickups but it makes the poles line up better, so it is okay to buy non f-spaced pickups for a floating bridge guitar
i didn't like the sh-4 in the rg350m, but i like it a lot in three other guitars of mine that have it.
@ridefour15 thanks for the info, I'll try to get the f-spaced if they're in stock. Yeah, I like fixed bridges for better sustain, but I miss using a tremolo sometimes.
@jasonism123 as ridefour15 stated, you dont have to have F-spaced pickups...far as the brand of which pickup and model you go for, that all comes down to what tone you want from them as well as the guitar...personally i prefer DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan on any guitar, but varies upon the wood and what you intend to tuse that guitar for. ie wouldnt want an EMG 81 for blues n country n such...just small things to consider, look around for what tone you prefer mate, cheers
@Schpudd I had set everything as identical as possible, even disconnecting tone knobs. Only difference between the pickups was the pole spacing. This is why I was so baffled by it.
It's the fact that the 350m is front routed. I've owned close to about 10 RGs and noticed the same thing. The absence of extra paint and wood will do it.

If you have a floyd type trem get the brass block from floyrose upgrades .com to help with sustain

they should sound almost identical, are the pickup heights similar?

@ridefour15 it might be because of the fretboards, maple usually sounds brighter than rosewood.

Yeah I think there's a difference. My impressions : I like the black one when distorted and the yellow on clean settings...
