Maybe I'm the only one who noticed this but I firmly believe Billy west wanted to face fuck every clapping member of that audience with a rusty nail at the end of the video.
Billy is a great story teller. He does a multitude of conventions every year, and thus gets a lot of practice. I thnk that he would be a great story teller even if he didn't do a lot of convention appearences. Rock on, Mr. West!
I've heard alot of people who John has worked with don't like him. It sounds like alot of people think he's a bit difficult and a bit of an asshole, but I guess I can't reserve judgment since I've never met the guy in person.. His work is definitely great though.
Because John K. is a baby and could not deal with the fact that the show was canceled so he blamed everyone but himself. The brunt of that blame was on West.
I didn't know about the animosity between John K and Billy West until I saw this interview - I had assumed it was always between John K and the studio who wanted Ren and Stimpy to be a kids' show. R&S was still his artistic project, and being booted off must have hurt, like having your project stolen from you. He must have then seen West as being a part of that group who were against him. It's a shame that after all these years they've still not settled their differences though.
Its funny how all the camera man had to do was to keep the camera on Billy, but it was shaking all over the place for no reason. I wish it would have panned back and shown the audience that he was talking to. I dont know if he was talking to 5 people or 500 people.
you are confusing someone who reports negative things as they are with personal bitterness. he's just telling it like it is. anyone's dislike of him saying these things does not make him bitter in the least. i find him light hearted, well-adjusted, well-aware and informed. one man's hitler is another man's gandhi i suppose.
so he just said it and you ate it up, amazing
