Yes they are super! Very nice chicken family! Is the roo a golden laced wyandotte? He looked to have the gold lace pattern on his chest, but I only have females in that variety so I was not sure. My Rhode Islands are a bit on the bossy side and my golden laced ones are so submissive. I have 2 silver laced ones and the beat up my roosters...My roosters are Silkies so thats not hard to do. Do you ever get into trouble for your rooster's COCKADOODLEDOO-ing? We got 10 chicks and one is a rooster, and I am worried we will have to get rid of him.
@crazyfarm31 , My Welsummers are not the best layers of the bunch. I don t keep decent records, but probably the the worst of the bunch are the Welsummers, however, they lay the most perfectly consistent highest quality eggs, beautiful brown shiny eggs.
I have partridge pekins also a Mille fleur pekin. I have a few "Heinz 57" hens lol xD. Couple of Blackrocks and a few Buff Orpingtons and to follow a little trio of Rhodies xD :)

one of ours did and she made a good mother. We've had our partridges for the second winter now and they seem to be fine.... they are in an enclosed shelter or coop. We keep their water heated. None of our chickens want to be walking about in the snow though... they like to be inside their house all winter.
OH well thanks I am thinking about ordering some Partridge rocks this year. They are soooo beautiful I believe this is the breed I've been looking for my other favorite are the Buff Orpingtons. Thanks....
