  • Im kinda confused on what you meant when you said, "where I'm missin' somethin" :D

  • Converted my '85 convertible to a 5-speed. The sheetmetal tunnel in those cars makes it a bear. Yours should be pretty easy. Do you know you don't have to take the pedal cluster all the way out, just the shaft that the brake and clutch pedal ride on?

  • Ah the older body style is so nice but must be harder to work on with less room under the hood. To get my pedal bracket in I had to disassemble most of my dash on the driver side to get to all the nuts and bolts. That's only cause we welded the clutch pedal neutral safety switch to my pedal bracket, but failed to put on the metal piece that hits the switch. If I can do it though, anyone can.... for I am a moron. Those pedals sure were fun to put in with all that wiggle room I had under the dash.

  • The '85 didn't have a neutral safety switch, so that's something I just didn't worry about. On mine, I took the nut off the shaft holding the pedals on, took the shaft out, replaced it with the longer shaft and pedals from the 5-speed car and called it a day.

The bracket is still the original one that came with the car.

Come to think of it, the pedals came from an '89 LeBaron, so it all interchanges.
