  • I think you should be more open and realistic about the major drawbacks of this home-made bioplastic. Because water evaporates as it cures, it distorts and shinks a huge amount, takes days to fully dry. So, it is not at all suitable to mold and cast applications, and the spoon and forks at the end are misleading, unless you are suggesting these were or can be made with home made bioplastic.

  • hello, asking what ingredient and procedures to make bioplastic water resistant? since its starch base it will be wet and sticky once sprinkled/spashed in water. Thanks.

  • can i made soft plastic using this method? like plastic for fishing worms?

  • the example of potato plastic is very flexible? how ca I make a cup out of it Maybe i missed a part or something.BTW thank you.. nice indestructible. : )

  • i've tried to make the plastic for a science project just the way you described and i put it into a mold about 1/3 inch thick but it stays jello-like and hasn't hardened after even a whole week. do you know why it hasn't hardened? how long did you keep the plastic on the stove for? please respond! thank you!

  • I watched this vid what a week ago and no audio, fuck you YouTube admins, on my website there are only a few rules, 1 no hacking, and 2 no excessive nudity profanity or porn!

  • I have little problem. First of all When I make the plastic and wait for it to dry, there seems to be a problem. The plastic never comes off the plate. I have tried everything. I have put the liquid plastic on a non stick Pan, and that did not work. When I try to pull the plastic off. The plastic tears and does not look like plastic at all. I have tried to put plastic on glass, synthetic material, a non stick pan, etc...

I really need some help woth this, everything else is working fine. Thanks

  • No sound? bugger.

  • Can you put this stuff into a mold? I'd love to use it for prototyping.

  • thanks a lot brandon!!

    just have another question :D

i tried extracting the starch from potatoes,

but the puree looked like baby food. didn't look that much dried like what you have done in the instructibles.

  • hmmm describe the dried powder

  • make sure you keep on stirring at high heat once it starts to thicken, it takes maybe 5-8 minutes of cooking and if its really lumpy add more water because your starch might be a little different

  • why does our mixture keep getting lumpy and unclear? how long does it take to cook the whole thing?

  • the plastic itself WILL NOT EXPLODE it contains no hazardous substances, that clip in the bloopers was a theatrics pyrotechnic device, sorry if there was any confusion

  • haw do you prevent it getting flmibble
