  • i wana know y smoke comes out on the top end wen its in v tec. i hav an em1 with a b18c5 also an wen im smashin smoke comes out went my v tec kiks in..

  • @chefaria2..lol tell em son. A gsr won't pop vtec like a type r due to high lift cams..gsr has more of a lift suitable for turbo lol(low ass lift)

  • alright dude...stop lying. wenever u get every bolt-on u take crank power and make it wheel power. and ur gsr doesnt crack v-tec like a c5, ur little c1 cams have a lift the same size as wats in ur pants. u ppl make me sick

  • honda got most power at high rev especially wen its a vtec

  • its funny how u need a full roll cage for 170 hp ? lollll

  • @phatyj I don't understand how its funny? He most likely tracks the car at road courses rather than drag racing... Better to be safe than sorry as the saying goes. Its not a lot power, but the car is light and hondas tend to handle well.

  • he shifted at low revs at the start so he can keep it in the same gear near the end for a bigger pull

  • y is he doing the dyno run so slow? ive never seen that done b4, is it like more accurate reading if its done that way?

  • SLow as in starts at a low rpm? That is how they did it when i had my k20 tuned as well. Its to get and correct the whp and tq throughout the entire rpm range low med and high to pull the most power out of it and have the best a/f ratio. Atleast thats what they told me and it makes sense. when they dyno'd mine they did it in 3rd gear and start around 2k rpm's.

  • @obamaforyourmoma

determining the ramp rate for a dyno is important for tuning purposes. Go out on the highway in fourth gear and measure how long it takes to accelerate from 60-100km/h. Most cars are around 4-5 seconds, which is a ramp rate of around 10-12. This means the dyno will allow your car to accelerate at the same speed as it would on the road, ensuring accurate tuning of air fuel ratios. The wrong ramp rate can mean a difference of as much as 0.5afr between the dyno and road.

  • nicely done...good job...what kinda tranny does it have btw?

  • damn...dude that is one bad ass....

    lovin vtec

  • BC spec 2 exhaust? sounds great

  • no you dont... you can get a conversion harness like i did on my 99.... obd2b to obd2a

  • We still get 38 mpg..

  • i second that haha, drove 3 hours straight the other day with my jdm b18c Eg and spent about $15.00 in gas..and i hauled it at some points...i love power/weight

  • Very nice, classic, tried-and-true setup... You must not have much at all if anything done to it though... 171WHP, and the gross FWHP#'s are 200... Either way, good job!

  • What ecu are you running? Can you run stock ITR ecu?

  • where u running the es muffler on this on or BC

  • Buddy Club
