It only feels so close to the show because the makers of BSG used Lightwave to make the galactica models etc, so infact what has been made here is screen worthy because it was made exactly like it was in the show

Thank you! I've read several books on building models but I've mainly taught myself. ...quite honestly.. I'm not really all that good.

Wow. Stunning. 2 points though - the head seems a little too big/thick for the rest of the body. Also, the pods seem too square.
