  • CHRIST is the LIFE of all believers......CIYTOHG

  • "Though the fig tree should not blossom

And there be no fruit on the vines,

Though the yield of the olive should fail

And the fields produce no food,

Though the flock should be cut off from the fold

And there be no cattle in the stalls,

Yet I will exult in the LORD,

I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

The Lord GOD is my strength"

    Hab 3:17-19

  • The words in this song should be the testimony of every born again believer!

It speaks mine to the letter. Thank you Jesus for dying for our sins, I love you!!

  • This song is good for every Christian (Mormon, Baptist, Methodist, Protestant, Catholic, Greek-Orthodox and even for Atheists)

  • I'm falling in love with you, Jesus all over again. This is an awesome song of worship.

Thank you Graham Kendrick. Thank you Jesus!

  • PART 1: Just this afternoon while sitting by my bedroom window surfing the internet, I came across this song which I have been looking for in years since I last attended fellowship with my Christian community. I listened to it and in an instant, the song brought me to "yesteryears" and was able to remind me how hungry I was for the Word of God. Remembering those days, I asked myself - What happened then?...

  • PART 2: It took me some time to regain my attention to the song I was listening to. I never had a chance to answer the question I asked myself earlier. But something felt really strange from the inside... I felt a "surge of encouragement" to follow what my heart & my mind dictates me for quite some time now. I admit, there's this new longing in my heart. A longing to find myself back to where I was several years ago, in communion with God. I am just waiting patiently, at His time... at His time.

  • PART 3: As the music plays and as I write this down for posting, I also felt like crying from the inside. I thought, God is really amazing... you'll never know when He'll start working to make you feel that He's just around you and everywhere. And today, I felt Him... literally felt Him.

  • PART 4: Music still plays as it buffers, pauses, and plays again... I opened another tab from my browser and hit my bookmarks - to find my online bible browsing site. I was astonished to learn that God even surprised me more!!!

  • PART 5: The site opened right at the very page of the Holy Scriptures where the song I was listening to was based (Philippians 3:7-8, The Holy Bible - NIV). The song is entitled "Knowing You (All I Once Held Dear)" written by Graham Kendrick and was performed by Joseph Garlington. This song really moved me today... very compelling and truly God-sent!

  • PART 6: And now I am certain and further convinced that God is now working freely to win back a lost soul like me. It all started again when I talked to Him in a prayer one day I was so down and low. I briefly and precisely told God: "Lord, I am not sure if You still have the ears to hear my cries, but I want You to know that I am so tired, so empty, so lost and I need Your help." As I say the words and disclosed my concerns, I cried.

  • PART 7: The last thing I remember I told God was: "I am untying Your hands to work Your wonders in my life."

I really wanna know Jesus... more and more each day of my life.

  • FINAL PART: Philippians 3:7-8 (The Holy Bible, NIV) 7 "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ." 8 "What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ." - Knowing You (All I Once Held Dear) is a very compelling song based from the Holy Bible. And irrefutably, a beautiful wisdom of the faith! Thank You Lord Jesus!

  • All I once held dear.......... Knowing you Jesus, There is no greater things, truly, no greater things. =)

  • Beautiful song!

  • I'm fairly certain this version is being sung by Pastor (Bishop) Joseph Garlington. A true man of God. He's an anointed preacher and as you can hear, a wonderful singer. He led worship at numerous Promise Keepers Conferences I attended in the mid/late '90s and he sang this song then. It has always been my favorite version of a favorite song.
