Terry McMillan my Mentor will be missed i have prayed for this mantle and i know that it has been passed and im going to continue practicing. If the ones that read this could you please listen to my video of my talent quest.
My friend JD Hatfeild and I (we both play harp too) Had a great visit with Terry at his house when he was living in Nashville. We sat around in the floor while he played record after record of great harmonica guys. He turned me on to some Norton Buffalo songs I hadn't heard before. another buddy was playing guitar for him when they had a tire blow out on the tour buss. that was a close call for them.
Ace harmonica player and percussionist Terry Lee McMillan died Friday (Feb. 2) at his home in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., following a long illness. He was 53. A spokesman for the funeral home handling the services said the family has declined to specify the exact cause of death.
I've known Terry since I was a little kid. I wasnt too close with him because he was rarely around but he grew up with my mom and uncle. He had at one point been into drugs and gone to rehab but since then being clean. He and his wife were getting ready to go somewhere one day she left the room for a minute, came back in and he was dead... I think they concluded that it was heart failure. It was a real shame... he wasnt too old and he was a phenominal musician.
I just read that Terry passed due to a combination of pnewmonia abd conjestive heart failure. I didn't even know until this morning and I sit here at my desk crying. Terry was a great musician and a great man. I will miss him.
Thanks Utube !! I`ve never heard about Terry before !! Amazing !!

You could be right. I'm not 100% sure of the cause of death, but I know it took everyone by surprise.

An incredible muscian. I picked up a lot of my style from him. For the last few years I was hoping he would come out with another album. :-(
