My mother's best friend when I was growing up was a gay college student who lived with us while she was ill with cancer. I didn't find out that he was gay until 10 years after I had met him. i think schools should have a GSA. i think it is important for students to be introduced to the subject and show them how the world around them is changing. GSAs don't make kids gay, they simply show others that there is an alternative lifestyle out there. it provides any glbt student with a supportive atmosphere. and it also educates non glbt students.
