i thought this would be an anti-russian thing, but if its just aimed at putin then fine. (i am no supporter of him, the only good things he ever did was strengthen the army, bring back a certain tune, allow communist generals (which were quite good) back in the army which strengthened it. the rest is shit)
"James Bond isn't fit to shine his shoes. He's a superman, he's adored by the rich, by celebrities, by professors, by village folk and the West. He'll always be there in your time of need. He'll always protect you. If necessary he'll whack bad guys, even in a toilet. Indeed, Vova rules, and, surely, he rules just the way it should be done."
Quick translation of chorus: Putin Rules, He Rules Better than anyone, Putin Rules, He Rules and Success follows him everywhere!
In essense it's true, because by anyone, the band means Russian/Commie leaders, of whom Putin is undoubtedly the best.
BTW, does anyone know how to contact the band? One of my friends is a Talent Scout in California, he's tri-lingual Rus/Esp/Eng and I showed him the video for fun, but now he's actually interested.
even though i dont speak russian, i understand enuf latin to get the jist of what this was saying. but still, what is this? its some kind of political cartoon about a russian politician, but is this in response to some kind of event or something? somebody please fill me in.
Johhnyhib - first off, standard of living in Russia is much better then in Ukraine. CIA World Factbook place Russia's GDP per capita at $16,100 and Ukraine's at: $7,400. And the distribution of wealth is more uneven in Ukraine.
Under Putin, Russia's Standard of living quadrupled. That means that it doubled every four years. Got another administration that can post such records? And Russia's economy isn't as based on oil as pundits make it out to be.
@powerpunch180 Because in the original video, before he said "I will be back" there was Yushchenko and Timoshenko shaking in front of telly. Search YT for the full version.
Jonnyhib - the Russians didn't ask to have it banned in Ukraine. It's not banned in Russia. Also, the "Russian dictatorship", maybe you can tell me when Russia had Democracy, cause I doubt Yeltsin's Mob Rule counts, the so-called Russian Dictatorship managed to double the quality of life for the average Russian.
Oh yeah, that video is not banned in Russia. Russians didn't ban it in Ukraine either. Nice try. Why would Putin ban "Putin Rulz" video? Seriously, you're the one brainwashed, not us
This is a great video. This group has great potential, the words, the music, the graphics, are all chosen very well. I'm throughoutly impressed. As for whoever banned this video in Ukraine, so much for freedom of speech, you sir, are a complete moron.
To whoever banned it: "Sosi hui, a takzhe ya tebe sala ne dam!" Seriously, what the fuck? This is an excellent video, and banning it, that's just plain sad. This will not reflect well on Ukraine's Freedom House Ratings.
It was banned in Ukraine??? That's awful. Ukraine is an internationally-recognised democracy!! Still, I guess with next to no friends in the west they've decided to opt for a quiet life with their eastern neighbour. The white flag has been raised. :(
oh come on, I lived a long time both in Russia and in the West and surely there's corruption and bad roads, but the image of a suppressed people is largely exaggerated. So is the West's admiration of these new democracies. I admit they get fairer elections but in case of Ukraine it all came down to the new political elite fighting over the country's industry and resources; their parlament's work is pretty much paralysed. As a Russki don't see much to be jealous of(
Well re Ukrainian politics it's all very disappointing, but I really don't like the KGB people running the Kremlin. Typical standard of living in Russia is no better than Ukraine. Just a pity that Russian influence now means banning a piece of commentary on Putin in Ukraine (let alone Russia!). Sign of how the pendulum is swinging at the mo.

Putin patrols Russia’s borders once every hour. Without his shirt on.
When the Hulk gets angry, his shirt gets torn apart. When Putin gets angry, mountains are torn apart.
Putin knows all martial arts known to Man. But then, nobody is Putin.
Putin drilled for oil in Russia. With his bare hands.
Wonder why Putin wears sunglasses? Have you suffered from 3rd degree burns
Putin taught Chuck Norris how to roundhouse kick.

James Bond he not a marker.
He's Superman and his loves him all of the capital.
All persons, public, professor, deans.
All cities and villages, the western countries.
And in a difficult moment as he is always with you.
After all, for his shoulders like a stone wall.
And if necessary it will be killing in the toilet scum

There are plenty of good examples of democracy, so the 'Yeltsin was crap' argument is not an excuse for junking democracy.
The rising gas and oil price is what has made Russians richer, not Putin. Quality of life is still pretty poor considering those revenues.

Sounds about right.
Russia went through Socialism. Than was Liberalism.
It's a great PR for Volodya. So far seems he is delivering what he has promised. Good for him.
What amazes me is that in the midst of distruction of middle class in Europe and America, Putin has promised to CREATE the middle class in Russia.
The mess left after Eltsin will take decades to clean-up. At least he is on this path.
Time will tell...
