  • My first live show experience was 1976, Denver, CO, McNichals Arena. The Mothership connection Tour. Bootsy"s Rubber Band opened, Carlos Santana was the middle act ( absolulutely amazing) and then came the Mothership. I was 18 years old and I have not been to any concert that can top that one.

  • So many good memories! AND it was filmed in Oregon!!! :D

  • The quality of the video could be more professional, but it does not care. I want musicality!

  • Yea! That man can go all night!

  • @ senseless fool the guy in diaper is/was.."gary shider". Who passed on last year. As for the sound in general..a classic as many others are steming from the 70's.

  • lol There old and tired.

  • I miss Diaperman. RIP Garry Shider!

  • you just dont see many performers in diapers these days...

  • @musicnightly actually i think tony bennett put out an album of sorts kinda recently

I was listening to this in the background while doing math homework and out of nowhere I hear "AWW SKEET SKEET!" from a dude wearing a diaper. Damn, I gotta join a band or something this looks awesome.

  • this was pointless

  • @mcclatchie1 "aimless"

  • The song is so classic and I love how george is reppin a blazers jersey

  • Put it this way. You CAN teach a new dog some old tricks but NEVER an old dog some new ones...You listening Snoop...G...

  • @TheGmcFilms apparently, you're not a breeder.

  • This song is aways better live.

I can't remember the guys name in the diaper, but I read that he passed away not too long agao. I think he also co-wrote atomic dog.

  • @mahack3 His name was Gary Schider.

  • I can't remember the guys name in teh diaper, but I read that he passed away not too long agao. I think he also co-wrote atomic dog.

  • @newyork2080 don't like it? ...don't listen!

  • This is incredible!I didn`t know there was so many funky people in Oregon...lol..who would have guessed? This is one of my top 5 songs of all time.Another is More bounce to the ounce. They were the funkiest songs I`ve ever heard in my life.It was incredible watching and hearing funk music develop into this sound.I don`t think there`s been another song that impacted funk music like this.It was also nearing the end of a long era of real true funk music.

  • George is awesome! ^^

    So the audience was!

  • Filthy brilliance.

  • i hope on day have enough ballls to appear on stage wearing only a diaper. the guy is the shit

  • It might help to have some of what he was smoking before he came out. :)

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • @BMF123321 A Genius and Pro-Legend!!

  • Man diapers were they in fashion in the seventies in the USA?

  • :))))))))))

  • yes.

  • Front Row Cleveland 1980ish--3 white kids front row on 4 hits of windowpane. One of my best trips ever ;-)

  • For those of you that want a more serious get down version of P-Funk, check out the Houston 1978 Flashlight I & II. That's the one at the end where the Mothership comes down to take George Clinton "back home".

Most bands had a "gimmick" with their live shows. Parliament had "ships" coming out of the rafters, guys with long noses, and guys wearing diapers- not to mention about 20 people on stage!

  • not only is this obvious, you said it wrong its said Who the FUNK is George Clinton

  • Are you serious??????

  • what a style....

  • OMG is he wearing a pamper!!!!

  • Same thing i thought!!

  • Anyone able to tell me which video would have the mothership prop coming down and George Clinton's amazing entrance?

  • P-Funk ' it`s best love it,

Must get out that 12" single of this of mine lol

  • Gosh I love This song.

  • Jack's Fourth Show? :D

  • he put the FUNK in Funkadelic. I love that crazy fool in the gigantic diaper.

  • @ForgottenSoul700 - Who is the 'Crazy Fool in the gigantic diaper'?

  • I'm going to see them soon, what should I do to prepare for this?

  • They are probably gonna perform each song about 15 or 20 mins which you will love. See, George Clinton came from the true school of music where ending the song after 4 mins is considered punkish. Perhaps there will be some toking in the audience, lots of dancing and having a blast. You should enjoy yourself. The two times I've seen George Clinton, I had a ball!

  • damn, sounds like fun. Can't wait to hear Atomic dog! haven't heard that in SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long! thanks mate :)

  • love seeing them women dance. definately one nation under a groove.

  • asking what george does is like asking what did quincy jones and other great composers did with great musicians.

  • hahahahaha fucking clasic.

  • WHO THE FUCK AT THE BACK THR GOT A DAIPER ON??....ahahahha

  • DAIPERMAN!! Who the funk else?

  • It's like, there's a party in my mouth, and everyone's invited...

  • Dude, they were in SILVERTON!?!?

  • Love the PIMP"N cloths...

  • P-Funk!!! Easily one of the best shows I've ever seen and I've seen hundreds. The groove just kept coming for HOURS. God Bless George!

  • Last time I saw P-Funk they played for 7 hours in new york, before they killed the power to the stage.

    Fucking great stuff.

  • Damn, look at all those fat bitches

  • George is awesome...i have seen the all stars twice and will be seeing them again...love it love it!!!

  • Did you know that Parliament and Funkadelic were the same band, basically, and also they were James Browns' band?

  • indeed; they were called 2 different names because they were signed to two labels simultaneously. The were at risk of violating their own copyright if they kept calling themselves Parliament so they became Parliament/Funkadelic.

  • so were the parlets and horny horns and bootsy and his rubber band including sly and family stone were part of the original parliament in 1975 when they were touring. The late james brown and george clinton were innovators of music. They created SOUL & FUNK with what we call R&B. All the great groups came from their LEAD!

  • So true mate! These guys were geniuses! They left their footprints on the history of mankind.

Nowadays, rappers just copy and paste bits of their music and wrap it in a "gangsta attitude". Tha is so pathetic...

    +1 to you.

  • Can someone tell me what the hell does George Clinton actually does? Other than cash big fat checks while other people make music around him, I mean.

I'm sorry, but Eddie Hazel and Billy Bass created P-Funk's first sound, and then Bootsy, Bernie, and Catfish created P-Funk 2.0 which had NOTHING in common with it. Clinton just showed up.

  • True, I mean, cavemen created music, Mozart just showed up.

  • Mozart didn't hire people to write music that he put his name on.

  • THe plain and simple truth, is that P-Funk, was NOTHING until George Clinton showed up. Not that unusual, I mean, lets look at Vanhalen, If ever there was anyone, that did nothing, it was David Lee Roth, but when he left, it was no longer the same.

  • @gerbilkungfumasters You got it my Man. Right On. POWER TO THE PEOPLE! FUCK THE POLICE! FUCK YOU AND FUCK HER TOO!! WWHHHHEE!!!!

  • george's the man,he's awesome,samre thing with the parilament funkadelic,nice stuff indeed.

  • i genuinely saw a full grown man in a diaper.

  • hes still at it.fakkin genius.maggots swirming.top dog.

  • Andy Doble ,where the fuck is AJ WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF

  • This is what music is all about, at least for me but I guess it's different for everybody. Just forgetting everything else and being completely free for a few minutes.

  • hell to the "yeah"

  • Part of the fun of george clinton concerts is watching white people dance horribly.

    Great stuff.

  • LOL. What I see is loads of people having a great time and not caring what anybody thinks. That's what life's all about.

  • See everybody, white bitches can dance too! Check out the chick, white top...long dark skirt, in the middle at 4:54? She's missing her right hand.

  • Or check out the white chick with the orange shirt starting around 5:00 - she almost dances as good as a negro!

  • Thar be whales!

  • lol

  • don't judge people by the way they look judge them by the way they are

  • Not beefin or nothing, but these so called fat girls were on stage were on stage with the King of Funk! And it can't never be taken away from them Playa. Stay up Homie!

  • awesome great work :)

  • Damn...band changed a bit!!

Dude in the diapers really need it.

  • ok..we gotta get our Funk Heroes in some shape. George is fat, Gary's fat with a load in the diaper, Mike's fat, they need some lemon & honey and some good rehearsal's...LOL!!! Bring back the costumes and the Mothership please! I love me some PFunk!!!!

  • GODDAMN is that a diaper he's wearing..

    oh my dayz..

  • Why does he have ugly fat chicks dancing around for?.

  • Hate to be a hater,But Gary ,time to give up the diaper.LOL!!!!!

  • Why was I thinkin the exact same thing before I read your comment... you're on the money with that one... hahahahaah

  • Wow, you're both mindreaders -- that "Depends" is NOT a good look! lol

  • You ought to Drake from "Slave" he's big as a blimp and guitar looks like a medallion around his neck. Senior citizen funk. It's all good because these are the masters and no young snot nosed hip hop punk can do it like that.

  • Yeah man,Drake reminds me of one of my former Bassplayers,Used to be build like a young Lee Hayne.Saw him ten years ago,he was about 300 lbs but could still tear it up.If he hadn't called my name i never would have reconized him.lol

  • Damm who's on bass!! Incredible!

  • If this is the original Parliament lineup, then that nasty bass slapin' you hear would be the immortal Bootsy Collins. Unbelievable bassist!!! And as about as eclectic a musician as you will ever find. Known mostly for his funk bass riffs, he has played with musicians as diverse as Doc Watson and Buckethead. A true original, and an absolute musical genius.

  • thats the truth sir

  • haha guitar player is playing Children of Bodum ESP...looks it anyway.

  • p-funk is awesome.

  • He don't have to take any bathroom breaks because he already has a diaper on! LOL!!
