@watercopper You can buy the candles already formed. Some carvers use round, some star shapped :)

I love the way you make those candles and I think it's fantastic! It's great how people make those things with their hands. It's beautiful, it's fun and it's perfect for a gift. It takes time and it's so much better than goin around smokin and takin drugs. And about the music..I don't like it either but it's so easy just to turn off the volume and play a favourite song or listen to something else whilst watching instead of making those ugly comments!

I have a great idea for increasing your profits. Take that left over wax and make earplugs. Now that music is cruel and unusual punishment. Maybe you got some wax in your ears and can't hear it, but look at the comments and work out how many people you are torturing.

How do you get the star shaped basic form? All videos on youtube start at dipping the candles into the wax.. but they already have kinda big candles going when they start.. I mean if you simply start dipping the wick into the wax you end up with a round candle not a star shaped one.. are they pre-bought?

How come the wax stays so pliable? Do you work on it immediately before it hardens and is that enough or do you have to submerge it warm water every now and then or something?
