Viacom Productions was merged into Paramount television in the early 2000s. When CBS and Viacom split, CBS took Paramount television and merged it with CBS Productions. In Fall of 07, CBS decided to merge it's distrubution arms (CBS Paramount Domestic Television, CBS Paramount International Television, and King World) into one company as we know as CBS Television Distrubution.
However, Viacom Enterprises merged into Paramount Television in 1994 becoming Paramount Domestic Television. Only after CBS and Viacom split, the international arm of the original Viacom was reformed as a spin-off company, also known as the "new" Viacom, owner of all Paramount and MTV subsidiaries.
Actually, there was already a Paramount Domestic Televison, but Viacom Enterprises was folded into Paramount Domestic Television keeping Viacom Productions active until they folded into Paramount Network Television in 2004
I have been watching Fred Silverman's television programming, since I was a kid in the Chicago area, and he programmed locally. P.S., I think CBS is missing the boat - by not acquiring Jonathan Hall from Boston's WCSH to anchor their newscasts. Everyone check out Pat's Papers, the new website. I need a job in journalism or television or media or online immediately.
Nice sax.

If there was a Viacom logo, would they have shown the V of Doom, the V of Steel, or the wigga wigga?

This was from 1987, so it would've had the V of Steel logo.
