Banned in Germany because those idiots hate being reminded that they were the Nazi's.

Their official line is that "it's because of the nazi images, which are banned in Germany". But the game is all about KILLING Nazis, so it's hardly glorifying Nazism, is it? And yet Germany bans it.

Because they don't want to remember that they used to be Nazi.

When I first got wolfenstein 3d I thought all the music was composed for the game including the title music, when I was younger I didn't know swastikas were offensive, but a censored version of wolfenstein 3d is better nothing, they should allow a censord version in Germany without swastikas, Horst Wessel song ( it's just a song for crying out loud ) and obviously censor the hitler pictures, at least in other countries it's not tabboo.

Oh I only just read the notice, the SNES version sucks balls, and any of these versions with those shitty levels, but there playable in a Doom2 mod Second Encounter. PC version is the only version that counts and Spear of Destiny, Spear of Destiny's my personal favourite wolfenstein game, did they relese a censored version of Spear of Destiny, Spear of Destiny is underated, at least the Nazi symbols arnt illeagal in other countries.

Oh man, I remember when I was younger I thought the Germans were just yelling out incomprehensible gibberish so I used to walk around the house yelling out what I thought they were saying.

I had a custom "wolfenstein 3d" level for DOOM, and when the soldiers saw you, they said "too-shuffle", whatever that means.

Yeah, even though I'm a native German speaker, I never understood what the hell they say until I read once that this was supposed to sound like "Schutzstaffel". The same to "Mein Leben" ("my life") and "Frieren" ("freeze").

Most of this doesn't make sense, but for some reason it's always funny to hear it :)
