  • do you have a pet bear or something???

  • I love the Coqui Frog and im on the Big island aswell

  • When I first moved to the states, I had a hard time going to sleep at night... I didn't realize what was missing until someone brought up the topic of Coquis. 19 years of this beautiful melody and you'll be an insomnia sufferer the moment you hear nothing but silence.

  • THE COQUI IS THERE TO STAY UNLESS THEY ARE READY TO GET RID OF EVERY NATIVE SPECIES THAT FEED ON THE COQUI.ON THE CONTRARY THE COQUI FEED ON MOSQUITOES AND INSECTS IF YOU GO TO THE HAWAII DEPT. OF AGR. YOU FIND ALL THE LIES THE GOV.IS SPREADING THEY CLAIM THE NOISE LEVEL IS EQUAL TO A LAWNMOVER,IS A CLASS C FELONY THE POSSESSION OF A COQUI AND YOU COULD GET 3 YEARS OF JAIL FOR POSSESSION OF COQUIES.TIPICAL GOV.LIYING TO THE SHEEPLES

  • @COFREZY - wow! all that bitching for a little frog that like you said it's mosquitos!

  • Hey everyone, lets not forget THAT HUMANS ARE AN INVASIVE SPECIES.

We are from Ethopia, and we have taken over and RUINED every inhabitable place on planet earth. If you live in Hawaii, I bet you do a lot more damage to the eco system than this little frog. So stop complaining (And if you really care about the environment, Go Vegan NOW)

  • @calico992 hell yeah! you r totally right, they should stfu and enjoy nature

  • I once held one in my hand, and I almost melted of cuteness. <3 Boricua para siempre!!! O3O

  • I was born and raised in the Mainland, and when I always visited Puerto Rico, we were taught to care for all the esthetic life in the wild; my grand parents always fed a Coquí at night, and I was able to see that it always came to the same spot for feeding with its call sound-"Coqui, Coqui." I was very amazed. Out of the 78 Cities in Puerto Rico, Barranquitas has the most coqui frogs, I would say, and it did take me a few days to get adjusted, and I did. Love all God's creation!...Amen.

  • Screw the frogs they live in my backyard and i cant sleep

  • Eventually Hawaii will have to settle down and accept the coqui. Trying to eradicate them always fails and also kills non-target animals. Plus, their sound is nice when you decide to accept it.

  • 1 person has no life

  • If the volcano blows and gets them out of Hawaii then they would be happier with less ppl in the world to hate them WTF that's why those ppl deserve shit

  • Coqui's are beautiful. That sound is amazing.

  • sweet

  • I was in PR and they are lovely, I hope they all die in Hawaii, they do not deserve this. It was a sacred animal to the indigenous people of Puerto Rico...watch?v=aqprP4m8x2Q&feature=related

  • look how much trouble an ignoramous like Syd Singer has caused: watch?v=aqprP4m8x2Q&feature=related

  • @princecharmonpoirtoi

Dude, screw you and your ridiculous attempts at character defamation. Coquis are wonderful creatures. If you don't like the sound of nature, find a way to remove yourself from it.

  • @strikerk I am afraid that some day some Hawaiian homo is going to use it as their GAY symbol, singing ¨COQUI, COQUI¨¨

  • @princecharmonpoirtoi Nice to see you're also a bigot, do you represent your islands with such discriminatory remarks?

  • Here in Bermuda islands we celebrate and share these melodic sounds with our tourists - we even made a CD dvd so that our visitors can take back to their busy, noisy metropolis with them.Pls learn to co-exist with nature - we humans are NOT the only one on the planet.

  • Kudos to Syd Singer for standing up to the dept of agri.of Hawaii - to help save the destruction of the melodic little coqui frog.Well done to you and your family.

  • Just only some words... Read the history, part of the Hawaiian people they grampas and grandma are Boricua so... shhhh and apreciate the barely extinted coqui from Puerto Rico... And never kan kill them all the people of Hawaii has to learn how to live with them... and the sing of the night jajajaja ^^

  • ewwww coqui! i hope the true conservationists can eradicate them from all the hawaiian islands. i think with the right support from those who care about the aina, it can be done! super cute, but not welcome here! keep them in their beautiful puerto rican homeland!

  • @banlbc2008 Why the hell would you guys hate such a beautiful creature?

  • @strikerk How dare you use that language. I am not hateful of the coqui frogs. I, too, think they are beautiful. But, like many other plants and animals, they can be very harmful in places they don't belong. I care very much about plants, animals, and especially human kind. In order for us to live in harmony with nature, we must acknowledge and respect that we can easily spread destruction on earth through ignorance and naivety. Know your land. To spread foreign plants and animals is not wise.

  • Last time i was visiting Puerto Rico i found one hiding in the plants at my grandmas house he was so cute. they are nice little creatures

  • i live in puerto rico and i love them!!! jajaja they are so tiny and cute lol omg! and they eat ants jajajajajajajaja

  • #

  • I love their singing...Shame that here in the South of PR I don't listen them so often.

  • @AeroChica who says theyre in the South....they r ALL over Puerto Rico....i live in the city...near Old San Juan and they r all over the place...esp. if its humid and loaded with trees and plants! :D

  • @reaperontherun716 I live in Ponce and I rarely hear them. I even have a neighbor who brings them from Adjuntas to Ponce. But well, around here we have lots of iguanas from Costa Rica that eat the coquis :(

  • @AeroChica anywhere near rivers...ull always see iguanas...the rlly big green ones....usually splattered on the streets...like in Fajardo or Dorado!

  • @reaperontherun716 Yeah, we have lots of those iguanas in Ponce.

  • Oh my God! It's the beginning to Miranda that Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore!

  • Amazingly they can't survive in Dominican Republic, Cuba or any other Island of the Caribbean; neither are they happy in Central or South America. For that reason we've always called them good patriots of Puerto Rico...better patriots than the people themselves....It's a shock to us that they do so well in Hawaii...

  • @princecharmonpoirtoi> y would i wanna c such cute animal native 2 my island (puerto rico) get eaten or killed while lots of people kill them without a greater explanation than jjust their callin!!???

  • yes i have, many times, i go to puerto rico every year to my aunt.

  • @ThaCase93 then u should probably know this is a coqui....but its female....due to the fact that females dont sing only male do!

  • @reaperontherun716, oh ok thanks! I didn't know only the males could sing, thanks again!

  • y would i wanna watch it...i just told princecharmin off dwon there...i dont like people saying bullshit about puerto ricans without really knowing WTF they r sayin!!

  • I am Puerto Rican too and I love these little guys! Whenever I come home from visiting there (which is rare, unfortunately) I cannot sleep because I miss that sound so much!

  • @Yesica1993 THAT SYD SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF BRINGING ONE NATIVE SPECIE OF PUERTO RICO TO HAWAII. WATCH YOURSELF FROM THE GOODGUYS!!!!!

  • @Yesica1993 coqui are much denser in population on Big Island than Puerto Rico, imagine your favorite singer times a thousand in one room not singing in harmony... It would get a little annoying after awhile.

  • @syee09 Oh, I'm sure they can be very loud!

  • I'm from puerto rico so you know I love coqui's... I can see why they sing there too hawaii has a feel and look similar to P.R.

  • coqui are cool

  • COQUI I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

  • 1. shave

    2. thats not a Coqui

  • um yes it is there are 4000 outside my window and i see them daily

  • @thecase93>how would u know if its not a coqui...have u ever seen 1?
