top 5 goals in flyers history in no particular order.............Clarke's game 2 against boston....Primeau 5 ot goal against Pittsburgh.......MacLeish..game 6 against bostosn...Poulin...sh against quebec (down 2 men) ....Daigneault game 6 against Edmonton....everybody feel free to add a big one or disagree with the ones i have
I remember this goal. I saw Dave Poulin talk about this goal today in a Spectrum memory on comcast sportsnet. he spoke of a picture someone had taken, and given to him, from the 2nd level. I worked at an overnight photo processing plant and have the same photo he is speaking of. I found it while working the overnight shift when all the developing took place.
@aaaaa0000000000 Sorry, that was in 1987. He was healthy against Quebec. The flak jacket was against MTL in 87 and they weren't bruised, they were broken. He was the best captain that team ever had.
@JohnTerry626 Thanks for clarifying, guess thats what happens when you get old! I agree, if you want an example of what a true leader looks like, you need to look no further than him.
I remember this goal quite well. I was 15 and listening to the game on the radio in the car with my dad coming home from looking at a used car. We both went nuts. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. A great moment in Flyers history, here's hoping there will be plenty more in the 2008-2009 campaign!
I saw Poulin score another 5 on 3 shg goal in the same manner against the Isles in late 85. That's about the only way you'll get a 5 on 3 shg because the defending team is so caught up with keeping the goalies view clear, clearing the puck, blocking shots, and all the room the other team has that no player can afford to be out of position for any sustained period of time.
It was this moment, me, just 7 years old, became a Flyer fan for life. Thanks so much. This is one memory from my childhood that I will never forget. Its been years since I have seen this clip. You should be knighted for posting it.
Thanks for the comments. For me, this is one of the greatest moments and plays of Philly sports history from one of its most special players and people.
i am a film director from lima- peru, i lived in philly in 84 till 86, were a big fan of the flyers and pele lindbergh, i was in the spectrum the day of this game with my dad, i was looking for this video everywhere, i had it on betamax but the tape broke or something, thaaaaanksss for posting this, youtube is incredible, like living again... thankss really, you made my year!

my god the crowd is loud. the spectrum is the best building in hockey, i say philly demolishes the wachovia center and keeps the spectrum instead :D

why did they trade him in 1990? The Bruins were lucky to get him.

Because Clarke is an idiot as a GM. To think he traded Poulin for Linseman even up still drives me insane

Bobby Clarke was a great player whose #16 does belong in the rafters.
Bob Clarke is an idiot as a GM, as hipmodyfc wrote.
