ThunderfOOt lost most of my respect when he made the "Holy Shit We're All Going To Fucking Die Of Swine Flu" series; but now, he has completely lost any shred of respect I had left for him. At least we can all look back, with great nostalgia, at the "Why People Laugh At Creationists" days.
Also - coughlan is not a troll. He has very valid political critiques of some prominent RIGHT WING youtube atheists... He goes about his critique using comedy and satire in a very incisive manner. He's so cuts deep and the Pat Condell's and Tfoots of the world are quite unable to respond coherently...So they use character assassination instead...It's very low actually.

@arbitterm Oh gotcha - that makes sense.. Some thread commenter said he had a PhD in psych....that said I find it very hard to believe - unless its evo psych which is a very speculative field which is not quite solid as far as I am concerned....
In any case- either as a person who presents him self as a 'man of science' or a man who actually has a PhD in any field in science....playing armchair diagnostistian on the internets is unethical.

A fair video. However Coughland made some of his videos because he is feeling very bitter because Thunderf00t hadn't given him the attention he craves. When Coughland said I don't like you thunderf00t, he wasn't going for laughs. Coughland has a massive ego and unfortunately this can make him behave petulantly when he doesn't get the attention he think he deserves.

We expect Coughlan to be sensationalist. But he does make valid videos frequently. And for TF to ignore these arguments and go for the personal attack is totally against what TF claims to be about.
It is really sad when somebody accepts that somebody is going to be an immature, overbearing prick. Somebody is regularly loud and annoying (and frankly by the way he carries himself, he most likely is a histrionic personality) people just figure "That's just Coughlan being Coughlan." I am not saying Thunderfoot is infallible by any means, but with his behavior, Richard deserves no respect at all. He and Shock are just opposite ends of the same coin.
@grungefreak10 Why is it sad? If that's what Coughlan wants to be then fine. He doesn't come to my house and force me to listen. Nor you. People watch his videos because they want to. If you don't like them, don't watch them. The internet is big enough for all of us. My point with this video was that TF00t had completely changed the character of his channel and was focusing on youtube drama. But he's getting back to his old self with the science videos so this video is barely relevant.

I make no secret that I am against religion, but I have no objection to a strong criticism of Islam. If that isn't Thunderfoot's main focus anymore, whatever. But that is what led to much of his criticism.

He always touted himself as taking the intellectual high ground but he no longer address their criticism he just attacks them directly. That's not the TF I subscribed too. That TF was insightful and informative when he pwnd creationists. What about his coughlan video was informative or insightful?
The issue is not JUST character assassination, he clearly misrepresented the facts and totally lied about coughlan616 (you might wanna check his response) and the raspberry blowers. The description of their video in itself proves their point that thunderf00t ignores serious criticism ( watch?v=o5ThaLzcNak )
