That is a statement made by someone without the knowledge to back up the claim. If you had watched the game you would know that the only reason Thornton went after Alberts was because Alberts crosschecked Sturm in the back of the head earlier in the game. As a player you do not let that go no matter who did it.

yeah sorry bud your right i did this comment just after saw the cross check he did get wath he deserved but the thing is take a look last year in the playoff the bruins did'nt mess with the habs at all when stewart and laraque werent in the line up . but take the last game of the season , without stewart and laraque i got to admet the habs are one of the easiest team to beat up phisicly . and the bruins start take liberty's on them because they know that they'r not going to back things up

2. george laraque is one hell of a fighter, but no one really cares about him either...all i know is that the famous "laraque experiment" failed miserably..as shown by lucic scoring while he was on the ice following him around...

that's just not true...lucic was hitting people just as much with laraque on the ice, as when he was not during the playoffs last year...i get habs fans not liking that looch won't fight laraque, but these little "facts" that get made up along the way are over the top. give me some specifics where the bruins were taking liberties without these players on the ice and instances where those players were on the ice and they decided not to, and maybe i'll re-consider.

Why would Alberts want this, don't know if Conboy was playing but that would be a safer bet for Alberts. Alberts never fight again get Conboy or Kostopolous. I don't put Thornton in that class, I put McGrattan and Godard in that class not Shawn.

I think Conboy needs to be dressed every night there is a tough guy on the ice or they should attempt to sign one of the remaining tough guys: Andre Roy, Aaron Downey or Jesse Boulerice. Boulerice was popular during his time as a Cane, he good fit nicely on the 4th line or 13th forward. Conboy needs to also work on his fighting as well but he can be an intimidating presence on the ice though
