if your going for the achievement i recomend using splash and fireball during the overlimit phase since splash has a longer damaging period you have more chances of hitting at the exact moment you need it for it to fall down :P
Guard as much as possible. Turn off all of Rita's artes except for Fire Ball, as the enemy is weak to fire. If you find you can't get close enough to damage the enemy with Yuri, just run around and distract him and let Rita do the damage with spells. Something that will really help would be going to the strategy menu and enabling Rita to use level 1 overlimit. Make sure her strategy is also set to use magic artes only. She will activate Over Limit and cast Fire Ball non stop.
You need to attack the enemy when it rears back on its hind legs before performing that stomp attack. Pretty hard to do with Yuri. Just control Yuri and run around and distract the boss while Rita casts. Eventually she should hit it at the right time.

I'm replaying Vesperia after my save went *poof* on hard mode...
And I was seriously underleveled for this fight. (Only lvl 20)
I was forced to turn the difficulty down....

i got the game yesterday and i cant manage to beat da damn monster i am lvl 19 with yuri, any sugestions?

If worse comes to worse and you still can't beat him, you can always go back and level up.
