I did the same but witha full paronamic picture joining several pictures and then I downloaded a software to made the 360 effect, but i didnt like it at all... I would like to show you how is the picture that I follow to made mine

I think I'd have inverse selected the image then content aware filled the transparent bits in the sky.....but then again I haven't tried it!

What if the landscape shot you have is on the side of a hill, and you quite get it to look even?

@DeadWhiteButterflies on the original image, drop in a guideline and rotate the image until the landscape is the same height at either end of the image. Then crop it in to get rid of any transparent areas left or right (don't worry about top or bottom). The important thing is to make each end look roughly the same.

Can I just put on record that this works fine in GIMP as well (GIMP being free, open source and the future!) for those of us who can't pare £500 for software.

@TheSpeedlite Your focal width doesn't really matter, although a fisheye lens could probably create either an interesting effect or an image a bit harder to work with. Important thing is you got a clear sky, edges looking fairly similar and something like the tree here sticking up above the horizon.
