It comes down to something called 'Class'.. it isnt defined by the type of motorcycle you ride. You either have it, or you dont. I am 'accepted' by all when I ride my softail, but I am only accepted by some when I ride the Vstar. I think its obvious which crowd has more class. How american is that? If a person is truly patriotic, they are patriotic about everything in their life, & not just the bike they ride. As I said, I have ridden both, & the real difference lies in the people, not the bikes

I read the comments section because every so often someone gives info about something I didnt know, but I get so tired of seeing all the childish brand bashing.. my God, motorcycles, love them one, love them all! A true 'biker' appreciates ALL bikes, they ALL offer something different, & they ALL have their quirks, different strokes for different folks. I love to see anyone on 2 wheels,(or even 3!) because I share that same passion... Motor Cycles!

@motorcyclesickness I just couldnt imagine a world where we didnt have a choice, some days I'm in a Harley mood, & sometimes I am in a Yamaha mood.. & I am fortunate to have that choice. Some people like to tinker on their bikes, some people dont.. I just cant understand all this fighting crap.. we ALL LOVE MOTORCYCLES! what is wrong with that? What gives HD riders the right to look down their nose at anyone? & the so-called 'brotherhood', is only based on the brand of motorcycle they ride? That to me is a pretty shallow 'brotherhood'. & if having an HD means you have to act like your better than everyone else, & make fun of the bike they ride if it isnt exactly like mine, then I think I would rather trade my softail in for another Vstar. Ive had both, & the only difference? The people that ride them.

& why is it that Harley people look down on other people who choose not to 'follow' that crowd, who choose to be independant from them, & ride their own ride? & I dont believe that the japs were trying to 'copy' Harley, I think the HD bike is a desireable look, & sound, but alot of people didnt want the hassle of owning one, so the japs did what any smart marketer would do, targeted that crowd, & built the same style of bike, but more reliable, more dependable, & of course, more affordable.

I also dont understand why it is that Harley people scream 'American' when they are the most UN american people I know!
