People defending his own country can not be cassified has terrorists. USA was not founded by terrorist fighting against de british, they were patriots even if they parents came fron the UK.

where was the soldier killed? was it in USA ? or in a foreing country?...since that happen in Afghanistan during combat, the american soldier is classified as a casualty of war and the one who killed him is a POW. Read the definition of terrorist. It's noting to do with this case.

Poor Omar was just sitting on a bench eating a piece of roasted camel leg, when those bad US soldiers came by and shot him, and took him to Guantanamo. 'Ya right". You bleeding heart politically correct Canadians are a joke. Just because he's a Canadian born terrorist does not give him the right to special treatment. Political correctness in Canada is a cancer which eats away at common sense.

@endomedico, A POW can only be a member of a uniformed military during a lawful conflict. Omar and his pals (may they not rest in peace), were dressed in civilian clothes planting landmines hoping to kill Americans for bounty money.
They are unlawful combatants, not POW's. Being a POW is a right we give to a uniformed enemy who has the balls not to hide amongst the civilian population when he/she fights us. Omar Khadr was not fighting for a nation, but for Al Qaeda, a terrorist group.

humans don't travel around the world without a govt. mandate to try & kill americans in a war zone. The americans just have him in Gitmo for protection against the Taliban. They r just trying to protect him
He gets better medical care in Cuba than he does in Canada & much better care than the Dr. he murdered

Kteptas u need to realise that he was fighting with the Taliban which is not a recongized goverment, it is a terrorist group therefore he is not considered a POW

Total bullshit...this kid is a god dam terrorist. He killed an american solider in Afganistan, and now ppl in canada want him moved from Guantanamo back to Canada! Ummm nooo, I think you need to read what the definition of terrorist is. An enemy combatant killing a soldier in a warzone IS NOT AN ACT OF TERRORISM. He is a POW and should be treated as such.
Having said that, I don't think he should be allowed back to Canada ever, I think it even qualifies as treason.
