@defb4disonr Yeah, I've never worked a top drive, thats pretty slow. Hell I never seen a top drive before, it looks like the Kelly hose is on that thing. Shit man, I should go to ND and sign on, I could work that snail pace easy. I worked a swinging block in the eighties.

I think more impressive are the roughnecks on the ground making the connections for a 3.25 hr trip in. Top drive extend out is easy as pie for latching those elevators. Granted the driller is in a high gear which has the potential to be dangerous if the derrick doesn't get them fully closed I've seen that happen and thank God know one above or below was hurt. The dp slammed against the side of the Derrick and hit rig floor hard! Then the derrick hand had to rope that pipe back in. Easy money
