@mymayapapaya listen to there other songs or go back in time , its what we needed , what we loved, until vera katz ex mayor of portland found out they where playing for canned food to help the poor. she built a fence around it and charged $ to get in the next summer . the bands and the people did not show . the city still had to pay the bill for that fence lol
saw the Femmes at a free outdoor concert, they fucking rocked out to this song.
AND IT RAINED right during the breakdown in the middle. Everybody was so happy about it, people just started making out with whoever. we were pretty stoned. hundreds POOPed their pants. u can not fuck with this band
love them!!! been listenin to them since i was 13.......a while now. thanks for posting this brilliant, timeless music......yes.....timeless and brilliant
HipHop?! For what?! No message, no story, repeat/repeat, talking to music, no singing or talent required...that hip hop? See, kid, hip hop WILL die...it's called a FAD!! The Femmes will live forever....where will u'r rappers be in 20 years? Rehab...listening to the Femmes!! LMAO

all i'm saying is that this type of music died a while back. because everyone i ask has never heard of violent femmes, but when i ask people if they've heard of the beatles, almost everyone knows about them because they made an actual contribution to today's music.
people have heard of the beatles because they were the number one sell band in america. the femmes never really broke through. the femmes influenced kurt cobain, and kurt cobain brought alternative mainstream, which totally affected music today. so in a way, even if it is pretty small, they contribute to todays music
the band is really good... but gordon gano's voice is not that good...
with an other singer, with a stronger voice, the songs would be better..
