  • It doesn't work. I've tried for sooooooo many times. It doens't work..

  • @diamondsgoddess I know, and it's driving us crazy! Not sure if this is a problem on LinkedIn's end or if Google Presentation's askew, but it's been messed up for weeks. We'll post as soon as we hear anything about what's broken and how to fix it. Please post a comment if you figure anything out. As you can see from the last few comment on this video, there are a lot of people who would love a solution.

  • LinkedIn response I've got now: Ultimately the display of the detail in your Google Docs account within the Application on our site depends on communication to the Google Docs servers. We are aware that it shows fine on the Applications page, however it's showing on the Profile page as if it's never been configured. This is not just isolated to your account, it's affecting everyone that's using this particular application system wide. Our engineering team is working with Google on this issue.

  • Same for me. No luck... Any advice on how to get this to work?

  • Thank you for a very useful presentation! However, I am stuck with viewing it on my profile - I'm following all the steps you show in the video, and have also marked the app to appear on my profile and LinkedIn homepage. Is anything else I need to do to be able to view the video on my LinkedIn profile? Many thanks!

  • @kkapitanova It looks like they still haven't fixed this yet. My video's still down too. Let me know if you get yours to work.

  • Mine's gone from my profile now too. When I go in to edit my profile it says I don't have any google presentations displayed on my profile. Clicking on the button to add a presentation takes me to a page that shows my "currently displayed presentation" is the one I've had embedded on my profile forever. Weird.

  • I can't get this to work either. It says it is posted to my profile, but there is nothing there except a section telling me to setup my google presentation. Does anyone know how to make this work?

  • We can't get this to work. Has there been an update?

  • Thank you! This is extremely helpful!

  • Thank you. I got it to work. Is it possible to have more than one video presentation up on your profile at a time or just one at a time?

  • @buildmoneynow Great to hear our video was helpful. To answer your question: You can have multiple videos on your LinkedIn profile by creating a Google presentation with multiple slides that each contain a video, but I believe you can only have one presentation displayed in any given LinkedIn profile. So you can only have one thumbnail for one YouTube video displayed in your profile at a time.

That said, haven't used this feature in a while. Shoot us a reply if you find a better way!

  • Thank you. This is working.

  • Thank You!

  • How can i get the video on 16:9 aspect ratio?

  • Thanks, Tal

This helped a lot and was really clear!

  • Thanks for posting this, we have just created a Cartoon/Video using xtranormal and you user error proof instructions allowed me to publish it on out our Linkedin Profiles

    Great work

  • Any ideas how to share it on the home page of a group?

  • Thanks again for these directions. Is there a way to move it to the top of the profile page?

  • Looks like a winner man. Thanks for letting me know about it.

  • This is amazing information! Thanks for sharing

  • Thanks Talmadge! I need to do this for a client. You just saved me some time. :)

  • Thanks so much. I have been trying to figure out how to do this for weeks. Linda Coles recommended me to your tutorial. Great stuff

  • Very helpful - thank you so much!

  • Marvelous work.... Thanks

  • LinkedIn isn't a "good place to get links" for SEO; all of the links redirect through LinkedIn's redirect script. It's worthless from an SEO standpoint.

  • This is the definitive treatment on embedding video into the LinkedIn profile. Kudos to you, Tal!

  • Excellent! It was very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to share this knowledge

  • Excellent video - tweeted and put it in our employee handbook! Can't believe so few people have watched this.

  • Very helpful!

  • Excellent content. Works like a charm.
