Great effects but way to fast to try and catch. I am trying to create your arrow and have watched the tutorial around 20 times and trying to pause ever second without missing some crucial step.....

I'm trying to figure out how you divide the gray shape into two separate shapes at 3:13. I've been trying for hours now, I just can't figure it out... You're tutorial is really nice, but personally I'd like to see it split in two with some explanations here and there... Anyway you could give me a tip? Thanks
Duplicate this gray layer (Then you have two identical) off one of the two layers and select a part of the layer to be deleted, for example. left part of the gray layer (select points). Turn off that, and turnson another layer and do the same, only now delete the right side of the layer...
Arrow is divided into two layers, and when you duplicate arrow then You get a total of 4 layers. Modify the order of these layers until you get a combination like I did.

I have been scouring the Internet for a tutorial on this topic. Your video is exactly what I needed. It has been incredibly helpful. I can't thank you enough.
once again a big THANK YOU! after watching several times i was able to perfectly reproduce this and now see the full potential of the 3d Revolve command in combination with map artwork and invisible geometry. Thank you for opening my eyes to this very useful command as i can see the possibilities are endless.
@jagjagin idk why you would say such a thing i started my adventures into graphic design with illustrator several months ago and i must say the app was very easy to pick up and go from beginner to almost expert in just a short amount of time. It's been an absolute pleasure from day 1 working in Illustrator CS5
Length of the tutorial is about 15 minutes (real time), so I speed up tutorial that I would not have to share it in two parts. Use the pause that you can read the subtitles:) In fact, tutorial is very easy, you just need a couple of times to look tutorial.

Great tutorial. Now I can easily make arrows for my design sketches. Without this it is so hard to sketch them with the right prportions. Thanks.

Can you make this again but not at 180 beats per minute like the tune. Thanks. Great effect but better shared.

I like the result a lot, but it takes me twice as long to do it because it's too fast...

When I duplicate the arrow and change colors on the duplicate, the whole arrow shows up in front or behind the original arrow. What am I doing wrong?

Cool thanks, I didn't realize there were 4 total layers. Still tricky but I get the picture.
