I've always felt like people who play guitar understand Marr's genius, and it's always the non-players that disparage him.

Johnny Marr's the best guitarist of all time - examples include How Soon Is Now, Headmaster's Ritual, Bigmouth Strikes Again, This Charming Man.

All quite difficult to play yet he keeps along with Morrissey's vocals and doesn't do these random guitar licks and solos that go off in a tangent from the song, which is where other guitarist fail.

Sure, guitar licks and massive solos may be incredibly hard to play, but a lot of the time, they just don't seem to fit in with the songs.

i have a copy of morrissey live in dallas which is ok but obviously nothing like the smiths. im having trouble finding one also, isnt it strange how you can walk into any major music shop and instantly see a backstreet boys live dvd but not the smiths...such a shame.
